Joba Majhi is an Indian politician. She was elected to the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Manoharpur in the 2014 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. She was sworn in as Minister of Social Welfare,Women and Child Development and Tourism in First Arjun Munda cabinet from March 2003 to March 2005 as member of United Goans Democratic Party as well as she was minister in Babulal Marandi cabinet from November 2000 to March 2003. She was wife of Devendra Majhi a leader of Singhbhum's Jungle Andolan. [1] [2] [3]

The Jharkhand Party (JP)(Hindi:झापा) is an oldest Political Party in India formed in the year of 5 March 1949 by Jaipal Singh Munda.Which grew out of the demand for a separate Jharkhand state. In 1936,Jaipal Singh Munda approached by Chhotanagpur Unnati Samaj's leaders to lead the Organization as President.Jaipal Singh Munda Changed the name of Chhotanagpur Unnati Samaj to Akhil Bhartiya Adivasi Mahasabha in 1939. Singh was became president of Adivasi Mahasabha. In 1940 at Ramgarh session of Congress,he discussed with Subash Chandra Bose the need to form separate state Jharkhand. Subash Chandra Bose replied that such request will affect the freedom struggle.[14] After the independence of India,the Adivasi Mahasabha re-emerged as Jharkhand Party and it accommodated non-tribal people to achieve long-term goals. He is popularly known as "Marang Gomke by the Adivasis of Chhotanagpur.[15][16]
