MEDLINE is a bibliographic database of life sciences and biomedical information. It includes bibliographic information for articles from academic journals covering medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and health care. MEDLINE also covers much of the literature in biology and biochemistry, as well as fields such as molecular evolution.

PubMed is a free search engine accessing primarily the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. <i>Annals of Emergency Medicine</i> Academic journal

The Annals of Emergency Medicine is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering all aspects of emergency medicine care. It is the official journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and is published on their behalf by Elsevier. The editor-in-chief is Donald M. Yealy. It was established in 1972 as the Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians and obtained its current title in 1980.

Today in China, there are more than 8,000 academic journals, of which more than 4,600 can be considered scientific. About 1,400 cover health science. In 2022, it was reported that China has become one of the top countries in the world in both scientific research output, and also for highly cited academic papers.

BMC Veterinary Research is a peer-reviewed open access veterinary science and medical journal that launched in 2005 published by BioMed Central. The Journal of Biomedical Materials Research is a peer-reviewed scientific journals of biomedical material science. It was established in 1967. In 1974, it absorbed Biomedical Materials Symposium (1971–1974). In 1990, it absorbed the journal Journal of Applied Biomaterials (1990–1995). In 2002, it split into two parts, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A, and Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B. The two parts are published by John Wiley & Sons.

The Indian Journal of Medical Research is a peer-reviewed online open-access medical journal, available as a print-on-demand compilation. It is published by Medknow Publications on behalf of the Indian Council of Medical Research. Since 1977, it has been published monthly with six issues per volume. The journal publishes original "technical and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues" in biomedical research as well as narrative and evidence-based review articles. The current editor-in-chief is Anju Sharma, who took up the position in January 2012 after previously having served in associate editor positions. JAMA Network Open is a monthly open access medical journal published by the American Medical Association covering all aspects of the biomedical sciences. It was established in 2018 and the founding editor-in-chief is Fred Rivara. The journal is funded by article processing charges and most articles are available under a Creative Commons license. Article titles and abstracts are translated into Spanish and Chinese. According to Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2021 impact factor of 13.353, ranking it 15th out of 172 journals in the category "Medicine, General & Internal". Additionally, it ranks 5th among purely open access journals in that subject category.

Su Ih-jen is a Taiwanese medical researcher and distinguished investigator and was the director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the National Health Research Institutes in Taiwan.
