Brampton is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario, and the regional seat of the Regional Municipality of Peel. It is part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and is a lower-tier municipality within the Peel Region. The city has a population of 656,480 as of the 2021 Census, making it the ninth most populous municipality in Canada and the third most populous city in the Greater Golden Horseshoe urban area, behind Toronto and Mississauga. The City of Brampton is bordered by Vaughan to the east, Halton Hills to the west, Caledon to the north, Mississauga to the south, and Etobicoke (Toronto) to the southeast.
Caledon is a town in the Regional Municipality of Peel in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. The name comes from a shortened form of Caledonia, the Roman name for what is now Scotland. Caledon is primarily rural with a number of hamlets and small villages, but also contains the larger community of Bolton in its southeastern quadrant, adjacent to York Region. Some spillover urbanization also occurs in the south bordering the City of Brampton.

In the case of secondary education, these schools differ from academic high schools which usually prepare students who aim to pursue tertiary education, rather than enter directly into the workforce. With regard to post-secondary education, vocational schools are traditionally distinguished from four-year colleges by their focus on job-specific training to students who are typically bound for one of the skilled trades, rather than providing academic training for students pursuing careers in a professional discipline. While many schools have largely adhered to this convention, the purely vocational focus of other trade schools began to shift in the 1990s "toward a broader preparation that develops the academic" as well as the technical skills of their students.

As of May, 2024, St. Lawrence College is no longer accepting new admissions to programs offered at their partner colleges. The population of St Lawrence College and it's affiliates includes a large contingent of international students. The college processed 5,421 international study permits in 2023.

Chinguacousy Secondary School founded in 1972, is a high school located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Since 2000, the school's enrolment has expanded with the development of the surrounding area. The school sports teams and athletic programs have won a number of OFSAA championships; wrestling, curling, and rugby (1982). Chinguacousy became competitive in basketball and has won several titles since 2000. Chinguacousy currently has a SciTech Program running. From 1972-2016, the mascot was Chinguacousy Chiefs. In June 2016, the school changed its logo and school mascot to the Chinguacousy Timberwolves after a call to indigenous and aboriginal inclusiveness from the Peel District School Board.

West Credit Secondary School is a high school in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is a workplace or college destination for the Peel District School Board. Its cousin school, Judith Nyman Secondary School is a high school in Brampton, Ontario, Canada that offers similar trades courses. West Credit and Judith Nyman are currently the only two vocational schools in the Peel District School Board and offer students more choices in trades courses than most other Peel high schools. West Credit S.S. is aimed at students who want to pursue a career in the trades, or sometimes it is recommended for those with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) at the vocational 1 and 2 level. Both high schools offer vocational and applied level courses. Students can participate in programs leading to apprenticeship and can work towards their required apprenticeship courses and training upon completing their Ontario Secondary School Diplomas.
