KMAG YOYO (& other American Stories) is the fourth studio album from American singer-songwriter Hayes Carll.
The album title is a military acronym for "Kiss My Ass Guys, You’re on Your Own". [1] The album was included at no. 47 in Rolling Stone's "50 Country Albums Every Rock Fan Should Own". [2] It reached no. 67 on the Billboard 200. [3]
PopMatters gave the album 6/10. [1] American Songwriter gave it 4/5. [4] Paste gave it a positive review, describing Carll's music as "simple songs that are simply grand". [5] Allmusic gave it three and a half stars, calling it "a worthy addition to the ever-growing catalog of sly Texas country-rock". [6] Rolling Stone gave it the same score, [7] as did The Austin Chronicle . [8] The Washington Post also gave it a favorable review, with Bill Friskics-Warren stating that on the album Carll is "setting some standards of his own". [9] No Depression also viewed the album favorably, calling Carll "a sort of Charles Bukowski in the age of anti-depressants...a poet for thoughtful roughnecks and ne’er-do-wells". [10] Entertainment Weekly gave it a B+ rating, [11] as did The A.V. Club , [12] and Robert Christgau. [13] Exclaim! also gave it a positive review, calling Carll "the voice of a new generation of good ol' boys". [14] New York Daily News gave it three stars out of five, Jim Farber calling Carll an "ace storyteller". [15] The Independent's Nick Coleman called it "very good". [16]

The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. For most of their history the line-up consisted of primary songwriter Sting, Andy Summers (guitar) and Stewart Copeland. The Police became globally popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging in the British new wave scene, they played a style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz.
Subhuman Race is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Skid Row, released on March 28, 1995, by Atlantic Records. This is the last Skid Row album with singer Sebastian Bach and drummer Rob Affuso, and the last one to be released on Atlantic. Despite receiving positive reviews, Subhuman Race was not as successful as the band's first two albums. Certain tracks from the album were remixed for the band's compilation 40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row, given more tender, slightly cleaner mixes to fit better with the other tracks.

It crosses various genres including funk, reggae, jazz, gospel, rockabilly, folk, dub, rhythm and blues, calypso, disco, and rap. For the first time, the band's traditional songwriting credits of Strummer and Jones were replaced by a generic credit to the Clash. The band agreed to a decrease in album royalties in order to release the 3-LP at a low price.
Empire is the fourth full-length studio album by the American heavy metal band Queensrÿche, released on August 20, 1990. The album stands as Queensrÿche's most commercially successful release, reaching triple-platinum status. The primary single, the power ballad "Silent Lucidity", reached number 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Silent Lucidity" was also nominated in 1992 for the Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group. Hot Buttered Soul is the second studio album by American soul musician Isaac Hayes. Released in 1969, it is recognized as a landmark in soul music. Recorded with The Bar-Kays, the album features four lengthy tracks, including a 12-minute version of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David cover "Walk On By" and an almost 19-minute long version of Jimmy Webb's "By the Time I Get to Phoenix"; both songs were edited significantly and released as a double A-side single in July 1969.
"Subterranean Homesick Blues" is a song by Bob Dylan, recorded on January 14, 1965, and released as a single by Columbia Records, catalogue number 43242, on March 8. It was the lead track on the album Bringing It All Back Home, released some two weeks later. It was Dylan's first Top 40 hit in the United States, peaking at number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also entered the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. The song has subsequently been reissued on numerous compilations, the first being the 1967 singles compilation Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits. One of Dylan's first electric recordings, "Subterranean Homesick Blues" is also notable for its innovative film clip, which first appeared in D. A. Pennebaker's documentary Dont Look Back. An acoustic version of the song, recorded the day before the single, was released on The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3 1961–1991.
The Bottle Rockets were an American rock band formed in Festus, Missouri in 1992, and was based in St. Louis, Missouri. Its founding members were Brian Henneman, Mark Ortmann (drums), Tom Parr and Tom Ray ; the most recent lineup consisted of Henneman, Ortmann, John Horton and Keith Voegele. Most members of the band have contributed to their catalog of original songs, as have Robert Parr and schoolteacher Scott Taylor.
No Depression is the first studio album by alternative country band Uncle Tupelo, released in June 1990. After its formation in the late 1980s, Uncle Tupelo recorded the Not Forever, Just for Now demo tape, which received a positive review by the College Media Journal in 1989. The review led to the band's signing with what would become Rockville Records later that year. The album was recorded with producers Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie at Fort Apache Studios, on a budget of US$3,500.

The liner notes report the tracks are outtakes from Alive! and Alive II-era recordings, although there is some speculation to whether this is actually the case. The final track is an interview of the reunited group conducted by Jay Leno.
