KRI Brawijaya (320) is a Thaon di Revel-class offshore patrol vessels to be operated by the Indonesian Navy. The vessel was originally constructed as Marcantonio Colonna (P433), the fifth ship of the class built for the Italian Navy.

Construction and career

It was laid down on 3 September 2020 at Fincantieri Muggiano and was launched on 26 November 2022. [2] Marcantonio Colonna started sea trials in July 2023. [1]

Marcantonio Colonna is one of the two Thaon di Revel-class vessels sold to the Indonesian Navy in a 1.18 billion Euro contract, which was signed on 28 March 2024. [3] According to Janes , Indonesia has secured a 1.25 billion US dollar funding from several European financial institutions for the acquisition of the two vessels, with the funding facility signed in late 2024. [4]

The ship was renamed as KRI Brawijaya (320) on 29 January 2025 at a ceremony in Muggiano shipyard. [5]

<i>Vulcano</i>-class logistic support ship Italian class of replenishment tankers

The Vulcano class is a class of replenishment oiler used by the Italian Navy, with lead ship Vulcano of the class entered service on 12 March 2021. The ships are designed to support fleet operations with fuel and dry stores and expected to replace the Stromboli class, another class of replenishment oiler from the Navy. Vulcano was financed under the 2014 Naval Law, for €346 million, then increased to €374.6 million, when the length was extended by 12 metres (39 ft).
