Kahan-e Pain (Persian : كاهان پائين‎, also Romanized as Kāhān-e Pā’īn; also known as Kāhān-e Soflá)^[1] is a village in Meshkan Rural District, Meshkan District, Khoshab County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 81, in 20 families.^[2]

It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran.
