Kalinjar is one of the 44 union councils, (administrative subdivisions), of Haripur District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. [1] It is located to the north of the district capital Haripur and borders Mensehra and Abbottabad District area.
Rural Health Center (RHC) which was established in 2002, funded by Save the Children at Swabi Maira Chappar Darband Road Haripur. Basic Health Unit (BHU), Kalinjar and veterinary dispensary Sawabi Mera are also there to help out.
Game Reserve Kalinjar Contain 2000 ha area, Gray Goral, Black Partage, Gray Partage See-See Partage, Hare, Fox, Jackal are famous wildlife. Every year more than thousands of migrating birds come into this game Reserve.
Biryani is the most popular and successful business in kalinjar, mostly people engaged with it. They have shops across the Pakistan. There are several names of group like Al Naseeb Biryani, Al Naaz Biryani, Alnoorani Biryani, Student Biryani, Pak Ghazi Biryani, Sabir Biryani etc. Other than that people are mostly daily wagers, do farming, shopkeepers and government servers (mostly Security forces, health department and teaching).

Thandiani is a hill station in the Galyat area of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. Thandiani is located in the northeast of Abbottabad District and is about 37.5 kilometres (23.3 mi) from Abbottabad in the foothills of the Himalayas. To the east beyond the Kunhar River lies the snow-covered Pir Panjal mountain range of Kashmir. Visible to the north and northeast are the mountains of Kohistan and Kaghan. Hindkowans, also known as the Hindki, is a contemporary designation for speakers of Indo-Aryan languages who live among the neighbouring Pashtuns, particularly the speakers of various Hindko dialects of Western Punjabi (Lahnda). Maryam Nawaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician, currently serving as the 20th Chief Minister of Punjab, in office since 26 February 2024. She is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and her initial involvement in public life was through her family’s philanthropic organisations. However, her political career began in earnest in 2012 when she took charge of the election campaign for the 2013 general elections. Following the elections, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in 2013. Despite her active role, she resigned from the position in 2014 after her appointment was legally challenged in the Lahore High Court.
The 2014 Tsunami March, also called the Azadi movement, was a protest march in Pakistan from 14 August to 17 December 2014. The march was organised by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, opposing Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif over claims of systematic election-rigging by the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) in the 2013 general election that was later order for reelection and PTI won one out of three seats from the four claimed seats. Party leader Imran Khan had announced plans for an August march from Lahore to Islamabad with a group of protesters in a PTI jalsa (demonstration) in Bahawalpur on 27 June 2014. On 17 December, a day after the 2014 Peshawar school massacre, Khan called off the protest.

Ishq Zahe Naseeb is a Pakistani mystery drama television series co-produced by Momina Duraid and Moomal Shunaid under MD Productions and Moomal Entertainment which started on Hum TV from 21 June 2019. The series focuses on dissociative identity disorder, portrayed by Zahid Ahmed along with Sonya Hussain and Sami Khan in lead role whereas Zarnish Khan and Jinaan Hussain in pivot roles. It also has Yumna Zaidi and Azekah Daniel in an extended cameo appearance. The series received critical praise, with Ahmed and Zaidi both noted for their performances, especially Ahmed's performance. At 19th Lux Style Awards, it received six nominations with winning an award of Best Actor - Critics for Ahmed.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan is part of the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus was confirmed to have reached Pakistan on 26 February 2020, when two cases were recorded. On 18 March 2020, cases had been registered in all four provinces, the two autonomous territories, and Islamabad Capital Territory, and by 17 June, each district in Pakistan had recorded at least one confirmed case of COVID-19.
The May 9 riots were a series of violent clashes that took place on 9 May 2023, in Pakistan. Following the arrest of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party's leader, Imran Khan, from the grounds of the Islamabad High Court, demonstrations held by PTI's supporters descended into violent riots. There was extensive damage done to government and military facilities as a result of the protests fast becoming violent and engaging law enforcement. The government responded with a mobile internet blockade and a crackdown against PTI leaders, workers, and supporters, as well as those perceived to be allied to the party's cause within the media and legal fraternity. Trials of civilians within military courts were also initiated and are being challenged in the country's Supreme Court. The PTI alleges that the incidents of 9 May were a false flag operation designed by the military establishment to disintegrate the party and frame Imran Khan.
