Kalinjar is one of the 44 union councils, (administrative subdivisions), of Haripur District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. [1] It is located to the north of the district capital Haripur and borders Mensehra and Abbottabad District area.

Health

Rural Health Center (RHC) which was established in 2002, funded by Save the Children at Swabi Maira Chappar Darband Road Haripur. Basic Health Unit (BHU), Kalinjar and veterinary dispensary Sawabi Mera are also there to help out.

Game Reserve Kalinjar Contain 2000 ha area, Gray Goral, Black partridge Bird, Gray partridge, See-See partridge, Hare, Fox, Jackal are famous wildlife. Every year more than thousands of migrating birds come into this game Reserve.

Biryani is the most popular and successful business in kalinjar, mostly people engaged with it. They have shops across the Pakistan. There are several names of group like Al Naseeb Biryani, Al Naaz Biryani, Alnoorani Biryani, Student Biryani, Pak Ghazi Biryani, Sabir Biryani etc. Other than that people are mostly daily wagers, do farming, shopkeepers and government servers (mostly Security forces, health department and teaching).

Amb or the State of Amb was a princely state in the present day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan. Together with Phulra, it was known as Feudal Tanawal ruled by Tanoli tribe. A Royal Tenure start from Timurid Empire and end on Last Nawab Muhammad Farid Khan Tanoli. Amb was only powerful state incorporated in Pakistan with armed civilized military of 12,000 men, 300 Howitzer with their own manufacturing arms factory, today part of the Pakistan Army. Amb had a influence control roots in Swat, Dir and Chitral. A gaining of powerful roots of Amb military start from Second Anglo-Sikh War when East India Company provide military equipment to Jehandad Khan Tanoli to fight against Sikh, and then next British Empire in Second anglo-Afghan War. At the end of December 1947, the Nawab of Amb state acceded to Pakistan while retaining internal self-government. Omar Ayub Khan is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as the Leader of the Opposition. He was the last Federal Minister for Economic Affairs under the Prime Ministership of Imran Khan from April 2021 until April 2022. He previously served as Federal Minister for Energy from 11 September 2018 to 16 April 2021. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till January 2023. He is the grandson of the former President of Pakistan, Field Marshal Ayub Khan and the son of Gohar Ayub Khan, who was also a politician. Previously, he served as a member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and again from 2014 to 2015. He also served as the Minister of State for Finance in the federal cabinet from 2004 to 2007. He has served as Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf since he assumed the role on 27 May 2023. Nimkalay is a town of Puran Tehsil in Shangla District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is the main bazaar of Puran and a commercial place for the business community. Kaddi(کڈی) is a village in the Swabi District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The inhabitants belong to Aba Khel subtribe of Mandanr Yusufzai Pakhtuns who occupy Swabi and Mardan districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The major khel living in Kaddi include Balar Khel, Taju Khel, Zakarya Khel, Khan Khel and Panj Pao.

Muhammad Tahir Panjpiri was an Islamic scholar in Pakistan during the mid-20th century who was recognized by followers as Shaykh al-Quran for his expertise in Quranic studies. He played a fundamental role in shaping the ideology of Panjpiris, a faction within the Deobandi movement known for their strong influence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as their presence in Afghanistan's Nooristan and Badakhshan provinces. Panjpiri studied under Hussain Ali, the founder of Jamiat Ashaatut Tawhid-wa-Sunnath, and subsequently established Darul Quran Madrasa in his hometown of Panjpir, situated in Sawabi District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He succeeded Hussain Ali as the leader of Jamiat Ashaatut Tawhid-wa-Sunnath, which resulted in the organization's followers being referred to as "Panjpiris" in the region.
