Katelyn Falgowski (born October 23, 1988) is an American field hockey player. [1] She was born in Wilmington, Delaware. [1] [2]

She is a midfielder, and has played more than 200 international games. [3] At the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed for the United States women's national field hockey team in the women's event. [2] [4] [3]

She was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame in 2022. [5]

Hayley Wickenheiser is a Canadian former ice hockey player, resident physician and assistant general manager for the Toronto Maple Leafs. She was the first woman to play full-time professional men’s hockey in a position other than goalie. Wickenheiser was a member of Canada women's national ice hockey team for 23 years, from 1994 until announcing her retirement on January 13, 2017, and is the team's career points leader with 168 goals and 211 assists in 276 games. She represented Canada at the Winter Olympics five times, capturing four gold and one silver medal and twice being named tournament MVP, and one time at the Summer Olympics in softball, and is a seven-time winner of the world championships. On February 20, 2014, Wickenheiser was elected to the International Olympic Committee's Athletes' Commission. In 2019, she was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame, in her first year of eligibility. She was also inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2019, and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.

The United States women's national field hockey team, represents the United States in international field hockey. The team is currently coached by David Passmore. It made its first international appearance in 1920 when a touring team visited England, coached by Constance M.K. Applebee. The team made several international appearances in the early 20th century, leading to the United States hosting the eighth International Federation of Women's Hockey Associations Tournament in 1963. Once the IFWHA merged with its counterpart on the men's side, the United States' first appearance at an FIH-sanctioned tournament was the 1983 Women's Hockey World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the Americans ended up in sixth place. They have won bronze at the Los Angeles 1984 Summer Olympics and bronze at the 1994 World Cup.

Frances Anne "Francie" Larrieu Smith is an American track and field athlete. She was the flagbearer at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona for the United States of America. Larrieu Smith was the third female American athlete to make five American Olympic teams, behind the six of fencer Jan York-Romary and Track and Field's Willye White. The feat was later equaled by basketball player Teresa Edwards, track and field's Gail Devers, cyclist/speedskater Chris Witty and swimmer Dara Torres. After one of the longest elite careers on record, she retired from that level of competition.

Amy Swensen is an American field hockey player. A goalkeeper, she made her national team debut against Mexico at the 2001 Pan American Cup, where she shared the 5-0 shutout. She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and began playing hockey at the age of 13. Tran attended the Northern Lebanon High School and University of North Carolina. At the 2006 Women's Hockey World Cup, Tran was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

Keli Smith Puzo is an American field hockey player. Smith Puzo is a two-time Olympian who competed in both the Beijing and London Olympic Games. At the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed for the United States women's national field hockey team in the women's event. She grew up and attended grade school in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Maryland, where she played for the Terrapins.

Lauren Crandall is an American field hockey player. At the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed for the United States women's national field hockey team in the women's event, serving as team captain in 2012 and 2016. She played for the national team from 2005 through 2016. Before joining the national team she played field hockey for Wake Forest University, winning the NCAA field hockey championship twice.

Jaclyn Briggs is an American field hockey player. She was born in Reading, PA and graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 2006. She went on to attend the University of North Carolina where she helped lead the team to two NCAA national championships. Briggs studied studio art with a concentration in painting at UNC. Briggs joined the U.S. National team in 2010. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed for the United States women's national field hockey team in the women's event. Briggs helped Team USA defeat Argentina to win its first Pan American gold medal and earn a berth in the 2012 Olympics in London. Briggs was a member of the gold medal Champions Challenge squad and a part of the U.S. squad that stunned the world with a fourth place finish at the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup. Briggs recently competed in the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Briggs is currently the assistant field hockey coach at Wake Forest University.

Marie Mävers is a German field hockey player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed for the Germany women's national field hockey team in the women's event. That team finished in seventh. Mävers returned to the Olympics as part of the German 2016 Olympic team, which won a bronze medal.

Caitlin Van Sickle is an American field hockey coach and former player. From Wilmington, Delaware, she was a standout athlete at Tower Hill School where she was the state's athlete of the year in both field hockey and lacrosse. She played at the collegiate level for the North Carolina Tar Heels from 2009 to 2012, receiving numerous honors including being a three-time All-American and a three-time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defender of the Year. She won a national championship with the Tar Heels in 2009 and helped them make appearances at three further.

Carrie Lingo is an American field hockey player. She competed in the women's tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She was also a member of the Women's National Team that won the silver medal at the 2003 Pan American Games, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
