Keerati Bualong is a Thai sailor. [2] In 2012, he became the first Thai to qualify for the Olympics in the men's one person dinghy, the same class of boat His Majesty The King of Thailand once sailed. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's Laser class.
While harsh conditions proved overwhelming for the Thai sailor who did not do as well as expected, Keerati, 20, has already caught the attention of the international sailing community and is expected to achieve great things over the next ten years of his sailing career. A three-year plan to ensure his qualification and better results at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil is now coming together, the hunt for corporate sponsors to supplement funding by the Sports Authority of Thailand and the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand underway.[ outdated]
Keerati was the first Asian to win the Laser Radial Youth Worlds and has many medals to his name.

The Laser Radial or ILCA 6 is a popular one-design class of small sailing dinghy, originally built by Laser Performance. It is a singlehanded boat, meaning that it is sailed by one person. The Laser Radial is a variant of the Laser Standard, with shorter mast and reduced sail area, allowing light sailors to sail in heavy winds. It raced by women, U18 men and by male masters. The International Class is recognised by World Sailing.
The Laser 4.7 or ILCA 4 is a one-design dinghy class in the Laser series and is a one-design class of sailboat. All Lasers are built to the same specifications. The Laser is 4.06 m long, with a waterline length of 3.81 m. The hull weight is 59 kg (130 lb). The boat is manufactured by ILCA and World Sailing approved builders.
The Byte is a small one-design sailing dinghy sailed by one person. It was designed by Canadian Ian Bruce, who also commissioned and marketed the Laser.
Tom Slingsby is an Australian competitive sailor. Slingsby's first successes came sailing Laser dinghies, where he won three consecutive world championships and the 2012 Olympic gold medal. Slingsby was the strategist for the America's Cup-winning Team Oracle USA in 2013. In 2016 he skippered the winner-of-line honours in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race line. Following this he skippered the Australian team in the inaugural SailGP competition.
Xu Lijia is a Chinese sailboat racer who won a bronze medal in women's Laser Radial class at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a gold medal in the same event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she was the flag bearer for China at the closing ceremony.

Philipine van Aanholt is a female sailor from Curaçao, competing mainly in the Laser Radial class. She is a two-time Women World Champion in non-Olympic classes. In 2008 and 2009 she was chosen Curaçao's Youth Sports Women of the year. After the National Olympic Committee of the Netherlands Antilles lost its recognition by the International Olympic Committee following the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010, van Aanholt was allowed to participate in the 2012 Summer Olympics as an Independent Olympic Athlete. In 2016, she represented neighboring island Aruba at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She was Aruba's flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the 2015 Pan American Games. In 2023, she won silver in the Sunfish class at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.

Youssef Akrout is a two times olympian and world record holder. He coached at the Chicago Yacht club winning the 2019 Orange Bowl in Miami before moving to Norway where he currently is working as a head coach as well as assisting with the Norwegian sailing federation Olympic hopefuls team.
Annalise Murphy is an Irish sailor who won a silver medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, in Laser Radial.
Alison Young is a British sailor. She was the first British woman to be world champion in a solo Olympic dinghy class.
Sailing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 25 July to 4 August 2021 at the Enoshima Yacht Harbor in Enoshima. The venue was also used for the 1964 Olympic Games although significantly regenerated, the IOC now encouraging regeneration, cost reductions and sustainability. Ecem Güzel is a Turkish sailor who specializes in the Laser Radial class. She is a member of the Galatasaray Sailing team. Güzel competed at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games for Turkey.
Anders Nyholm-Pedersen is a Danish former sailor, who specialized in the Laser class. He bagged won a silver medal in the Laser Radial class at the 2000 ISAF Youth World Championships in Çeşme, Turkey and later represented his native country Denmark in two editions of the Olympic Games.
