Kelly Erez is an English R&B and soul singer-songwriter and vocal coach. [1]

Biography

Kelly was born and grew up in Stratford, East London. [2] She has been interested in music since an early age and her biggest influence was the 90s R&B, particularly such artists as Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. [3] [4] Erez studied Marketing and Advertising at the London College of Communication. [5]

She began sharing her music on YouTube in 2010 and went on to release an EP This Is Me... in early 2011, which she sponsored by raising funds on PledgeMusic. [6] The EP was promoted by the song "Letters" which was popular on YouTube and received media coverage in Poland. [7] Still in 2011, Kelly played her first live concerts, including a show at Hoxton Hall. October 2012 saw the release of her debut studio album, Come to Me, produced by her sister Natalie Erez. [8] The title song was picked by BBC Radio 1Xtra as Track of the Week and received airplay across the BBC network. [9] The music video for the song followed in January 2013. In May 2013, Erez released a double A-side single with songs "Xtra" and "Money Money" which was well received on urban radio in the UK. [10] In 2015, Kelly contributed vocals to the song "Distraction" by Cardboard Foxes.

Her second EP, Clear My Name, was self-released in September 2018, promoted by the title song. [11] In May 2021, Erez appeared on the BBC game show I Can See Your Voice . [12] Around the same time, she also released a remix EP, promoted by a new single and music video "Run the Water". Her latest single, "Time Out", was released in January 2022.

An up-tempo party record that displays elements of funk and go-go, "Work" is composed in the key of E minor. Lyrically, the song speaks of a woman who affirms to her man that actions speak louder than words and that she is not a woman who is easy to get to.

Anna Leddra Chapman, better known as Leddra Chapman, is an English singer-songwriter and musician from Brentwood in Essex. She rose to prominence when her debut single, "Story", was released on 7 December 2009 to much critical success and strong radio support and play from Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 during his last weeks as host of the station's breakfast show. The track is taken from her debut album, Telling Tales, which was produced by Peter-John Vettese and released for download on 29 November 2009. She was a student at London College of Music and she is also an ambassador for clothing company Quiksilver and The Body Shop. Her single 'All About You', from her second EP 'The Crowds and Cocktails', was BBC Radio 2's single of the week on 4 March 2013 and later added to the radio's B List.

"Commander" is a song performed and co-written by American singer Kelly Rowland featuring French DJ and record producer David Guetta from Rowland's third studio album, Here I Am (2011). It serves as the project's international lead single and her debut release with Universal Motown. It was the pair's second collaboration, having previously topped charts around the world with a similar dance production, "When Love Takes Over", in 2009. Rowland and Guetta co-wrote the song with French DJ Sandy Vee and American songwriter Rico Love, who described the song as a "fun and aggressive club record" with themes of female empowerment and lyrics with deliberate grammatical errors. Guetta and Vee produced "Commander" with synthesized dance beats that blend R&B with electronica and house music, with Love providing backing vocals and vocal production.
