Samyuktha Varma is a former Indian actress who was active in Malayalam films from 1999 to 2002. She made her debut in 1999 as female lead in the movie Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal for which she won her first Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress, since then she has acted in a total of 18 films. Varma has won two Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actress and two Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She is married to Malayalam actor Biju Menon, since 2002.

Ranjith Balakrishnan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Ranjith made his directorial debut in 2001 with Ravanaprabhu, the sequel to Devaasuram. His films Thirakkatha and Indian Rupee won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He is also the current chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.

Biju Menon is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Malayalam films, and also has a few Tamil and Telugu film credits. He made his debut in the 1994 Malayalam film Puthran. In a career spanning over two decades, he has appeared in over 150 films, and has won one National film award for Best Supporting Actor, three Kerala State Film Awards including one best actor, two Filmfare Awards South and nine Asianet Film Awards. He got the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2021 for the film Aarkkariyam.

<i>Meghamalhar</i> 2001 film directed by Kamal

Meghamalhar is a 2001 Indian Malayalam-language romance film written and directed by Kamal from a story by Iqbal Kuttippuram. It stars Biju Menon and Samyuktha Varma in the lead roles, while Poornima Mohan, Sreenath, Shivaji, Siddique and Raghavan plays supporting roles. The film was jointly produced by M. V. Shreyams Kumar for Mathrubhumi and Asianet. The film won two Kerala State Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. The movie was reported to be inspired by the 1945 British movie Brief Encounter.

New generation films is a Malayalam film movement developed in the early 2010s, characterized by fresh and unusual themes and new narrative techniques. Films of the new wave differ from conventional themes of the past two decades and introduced several new trends and techniques to the Malayalam film industry. Initially, he co-wrote films with Sethu as a writer duo known as Sachi-Sethu, their works include Chocolate (2007), Robinhood (2009), Makeup Man (2011) and Seniors (2012). He made his independent debut as a screenwriter with the 2012 film Run Baby Run and his directorial debut with Anarkali (2015).

Vijay Babu is an Indian film producer, actor, and businessman, who works in the Malayalam film industry. He is the founder of the film production company Friday Film House.

<i>Anuraga Karikkin Vellam</i> 2016 Indian film

Anuraga Karikkin Vellam is a 2016 Indian Malayalam romantic comedy film directed by debutant Khalid Rahman. It stars Asif Ali, Biju Menon, Asha Sharath and Rajisha Vijayan in lead roles. Written by Naveen Bhaskar, it revolves around the life of an ordinary police man, Raghu and his son, Abhilash. The soundtrack and background score for the film are composed by Prashant Pillai.

G. Prajesh Sen is an Indian filmmaker and writer. In 2017, he has made his directorial debut with Captain, starring Jayasurya and Anu Sithara.

Nanjiyamma is national film award for best female playback singer who hails from a tribal community in Kerala. She garnered public attention after singing playback in the Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum in 2020. The film's title song "Kalakkatha" written by herself in Irula language and composed by Jakes Bejoy attained popularity after its release on YouTube. The song received more than 10 million views in a month.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum is the soundtrack to the 2020 film of the same name directed by Sachy starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon. The film's soundtrack featured four songs composed by Jakes Bejoy, with lyrics written by B. K. Harinarayanan, Rafeeq Ahamed and Nanjiyamma. The soundtrack was released by Manorama Music on 10 February 2020.

<i>Sufiyum Sujatayum</i> (soundtrack) 2020 soundtrack album by M. Jayachandran

Sufiyum Sujatayum is the soundtrack to the 2020 Malayalam-language romantic drama film of the same name directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas and produced by Friday Film House, starring Jayasurya, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dev Mohan. The film's soundtrack consisted of 10 songs composed by M. Jayachandran with lyrics written by B. K. Harinarayanan, Manoj Yadav and Kollam Shafi. It was released by Friday Music Company on 4 July 2020.
