Kettering Health is a Seventh-day Adventist non-profit health care system [2] headquartered in Kettering, Ohio, that operates fourteen Dayton and Cincinnati area medical centers, Kettering College, and 120 outpatient facilities. The network was formed following the merger of Kettering Medical Center and Grandview Medical Center in 1999. [3] As part of the 2021 renaming of Kettering Health Network to Kettering Health, all of the hospitals in the network were renamed, with the exception of Soin. In addition, Kettering Physician Network was renamed Kettering Health Medical Group. [4] [5] Kettering Health has over 12,000 employees and 2,100 physicians. [6]

Dayton is a city in and the county seat of Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. A small part of the city extends into Greene County. As of the 2020 census, the city proper had a population of 137,644, making it the sixth-most populous city in Ohio. Dayton anchors the state's fourth-largest metropolitan area, the Dayton metropolitan area, which had 814,049 residents. Charles Franklin Kettering sometimes known as Charles Fredrick Kettering was an American inventor, engineer, businessman, and the holder of 186 patents. He was a founder of Delco, and was head of research at General Motors from 1920 to 1947. Among his most widely used automotive developments were the electrical starting motor and leaded gasoline. In association with the DuPont Chemical Company, he was also responsible for the invention of Freon refrigerant for refrigeration and air conditioning systems. At DuPont he also was responsible for the development of Duco lacquers and enamels, the first practical colored paints for mass-produced automobiles. While working with the Dayton-Wright Company he developed the "Bug" aerial torpedo, considered the world's first aerial missile. He led the advancement of practical, lightweight two-stroke diesel engines, revolutionizing the locomotive and heavy equipment industries. In 1927, he founded the Kettering Foundation, a non-partisan research foundation, and was featured on the cover of Time magazine in January 1933.

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority, formerly known as the Miami Valley RTA, is a public transit agency that generally serves the greater Dayton, Ohio area. The GDRTA serves communities within Montgomery County and parts of Greene County, Ohio, USA. There are 18 routes. RTA operates diesel and electric trolley buses seven days a week, 21 hours a day, and provides services to many citizens within the area. RTA's current CEO is Bob Ruzinsky. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 5,656,600, or about 19,100 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2023.

There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Elder-Beerman and Sears. Adventist Health Glendale is a hospital located in Glendale, California, it is part of the healthcare network Adventist Health. Adventist Health Glendale is one of the city's oldest businesses, founded in 1905, a year before Glendale was incorporated as a city. It was then known as Glendale Sanitarium, and it occupied the former Glendale Hotel, a 75-room Victorian structure on what is now Broadway Avenue.

In 2020, Forbes and Great Places to Work named Kettering Health a "Best Place to Work", regardless of industry.

Kettering College is a private Adventist college in Dayton, Ohio. The college is owned by the Kettering Medical Center and chartered by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The college was built in 1967 next to the Charles F. Kettering Memorial Hospital.

It has the Dayton region's only Level I Trauma Center, a regional adult burn center, and a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit. Good Samaritan Hospital was a full-service hospital on the west side of Dayton, Ohio. The hospital closed in 2018. Prior to closing, the hospital had 3,300 employees and 577 beds. Good Samaritan Hospital had won numerous awards and was constantly recognized for its excellence in health care delivery and safety by places such as U.S. News & World Report, HealthGrades, and others. The hospital was a teaching hospital with the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University as the affiliated university. The hospital was a part of Premier Health Partners. The Dayton Heart and Vascular Hospital was owned by Good Samaritan Hospital and was located on the hospital's main campus.

Kettering Health Washington Township, formerly known as Southview Medical Center, is an acute care hospital in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, United States, at the junction of State Route 725 and Interstate 675. It is part of the Kettering Health network.
