Killian Timoney (born September 5,1975) [1] is an American politician and educator serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from the 45th district. Elected in November 2020,he assumed office on January 1,2021. He was defeated in the 2024 republican primary by challenger Thomas Jefferson.
Timoney was born in Ithaca,New York. He earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Kentucky. [2]
From 1999 to 2012,Timoney worked for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in the parks and recreation department. He was also a teacher in the Fayette County Public Schools before becoming assistant principal of Watterson Elementary in Jefferson County,Kentucky. Timoney then returned to the Fayette County Public Schools and has since served as associate principal of Winburn Middle School and director of plant operations. [3]

Ballard High School is a high school in the eastern suburbs of Louisville,Kentucky,and is a part of the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) school district. The school opened in the fall of 1968. The first students were in grades 7-9,and a grade was added each year as the building was expanded. This kept the school system from having to transfer upper class students from other high schools. The first class graduated in 1972. From its founding until the mid-1980s the principal was Patrick Crawford. Sandy Allen served from the mid-1980s to the 2003–2004 school year. The principal from 2004 through 2013 was Jim Jury. Staci Edelman was the 4th and shortest standing principal,from 2015 to 2017,with a term marked by racial tension and controversy. Douglass School in Lexington,Kentucky,US,was both a primary and secondary Fayette County Public Schools from 1929 to 1971. Douglass School operated solely for African American students. The building that once housed Douglass School,located at 465 Price Road,was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Fayette County in 1998.
