Kimberly Cole is an American pop singer, songwriter, actor, music correspondent, and host for the American Music Awards. She is signed with the William Morris Endeavor agency.

In November 2020, Cole also collaborated with UC San Francisco (UCSF), the Global Brain Health Institute (GNHI), and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) on a virtual event entitled "The Last Dance: Music, Improvisation, & the Resilient Brain." The event explored the effects of music on brain resilience and was inspired by Cole’s song "Last Dance," along with her experiences with her father, who had frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The event included contributions from experts such as Charles Limb. Cole helped develop the program with UCSF, GBHI, and SFCM. [15]
Cole has studied voice, piano, and dance since the age of four. [16] As the daughter of a dentist and school principal, education was important from an early age. As long as her homework was done, she was encouraged to do anything she was interested in. As a result, she discovered her passion for singing and roller skating. [14]

Cole's debut album Bad Girls Club was released on iTunes in 2010, promoting Oxygen Network's The Bad Girls Club show. Her single and video "Smack You," in which she teamed up with famed choreographer Tricia Miranda to produce, saw success and led to the song being featured throughout season 5 of the show. Cole and Miranda were touted as "artistic soulmates" and worked together for several years after that. [25]

In 2016, her song "U Make Me Wanna" (with Eddie Amador and featuring GT Garza) was featured in Basketball Wives LA. In 2016, her song "Nitty Gritty" was also featured on the season finale of season 19 of Dancing with the Stars, where Duck Dynasty teen Sadie Robertson and pro partner Mark Ballas performed their samba/quickstep to the track. Goodies is the debut studio album by American singer Ciara. It was released on September 28, 2004, via Jazze Pha's Sho'nuff Records and LaFace Records. After writing songs for several established acts, Ciara's talents were noticed by Jazze Pha, and she began to work on what became Goodies. The album's conception came through the title track, produced by Lil Jon and created as a female crunk counterpart to other singles produced by Lil Jon such as Usher's "Yeah!" and Petey Pablo's "Freek-a-Leek". Ciara worked with additional writers and producers on the album, including Jazze Pha, Bangladesh, R. Kelly, Johntá Austin, Sean Garrett, and Keri Hilson, among others.
"Time After Time" is a 1983 song by American singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper, co-written with Rob Hyman, who also provided backing vocals. "Hang with Me" is a song by Swedish recording artist Robyn, taken from her sixth studio album, Body Talk Pt. 2 (2010). It was released as the album's lead single via digital download on 16 August 2010, in Sweden, and one day later in the United States. An acoustic version of the song had previously been included on Body Talk Pt. 1, in June 2010. The song was written and produced by Klas Åhlund, who wrote it for Swedish singer Paola Bruna who originally recorded it in 2002. Åhlund re-wrote it, added a chorus and made it more uptempo for Robyn's version. The electropop song carries a club beat, with synth arpeggios and energetic bass. Lyrically, it speaks of falling in love and being scared, and trust in a relationship.

It was sent to American rhythmic radio stations as the album's fifth single on April 5, 2011. The song was written alongside Ester Dean, Roahn Hylton, and producers Kane Beatz and JMIKE. According to Minaj, the song's lyrics detail the story of a playful romance between Minaj and a potential suitor.
