Kiran Baliyan is an Indian shot putter, hailing from Meerut.
Kiran was born in 1999. She is native of Purbaliyan village of Muzaffarnagar district. Her father is a head constable in the Meerut Traffic Police. [1]
2015: In November, Indian Under-18 Athletics Championships at Ranchi, she threw 12.49m in one of her first events at the National level. [2]
2016: In November, she threw 14.62m in the Coimbatore Indian U20/U18/U16 Championships to take third place.
2017: On May 6, she threw 15 metres and announced her arrival at a meet at Obra. Later in November 2017, she came first once again in Vijayawada in the Under-20 Indian Championships with a 14.54 throw. A month later, at Mangalagiri in December, she threw 14.37 to take the first place again. [2]
2018: In April, she threw 15.23 at the Indian Under-20 Championships in Coimbatore to finish first. [2] In the same year she made her international debut at Sri Lanka, and finished first with a throw of 14.77 at the South Asian U-20 Championships, Colombo. Later, she represented India at the Asian Junior Championships, Gifu but could only finish fifth. [2]
2020: She set a national record of 17.14 meters at the 2022 National Games of India, winning gold at the women's shot put competition. [3] Same year, she also won gold at the 2020 national inter-university athletics meet, representing Chaudhary Charan Singh University. [4]
2023: She won a bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Games with a throw distance of 17.36m. [5]
Nadzeya Astapchuk is a Belarusian shot putter. She briefly was designated the Olympic Champion in 2012, but was subsequently stripped of the title for failing a drug test and the gold medal was awarded to New Zealand shot putter Valerie Adams. She was World Champion in 2005, but in March 2013, the IAAF reported that her drug test sample from that event had been retested and found to be positive.

Vikas Shive Gowda is an Indian discus thrower and shot putter. Born in Mysore, he grew up in Frederick, Maryland in the United States. His father, Shive Gowda, coached the 1988 Indian Olympic track team. Vikas Gowda is a Padma Shri awardee in 2017.

Jaisha Orchatteri Puthiya Veetil, commonly known as O. P. Jaisha, is an Indian track and field athlete from Kerala. Deepa Malik is an Indian athlete. She started her career at the age of 30. She is the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games and won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in shot put. She also won gold in the F-53/54 Javelin event at the para athletic Grand Prix held in Dubai in 2018. She is currently the world number one in the F-53 category. She was the first Indian to reach the finals of the women's javelin throw event in the World Athletics Championships, Doha, 2019. Her career best effort is 63.24m which helped her win the gold in the National Interstate Athletic Championship, Patiala, 2021.In the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, Annu Rani scripted history as she became the first Indian female javelin thrower to win a medal, a bronze. She is the first Indian Javelin thrower to win a Gold medal in Asian games 2023 at Hangzhou.
Inderjeet Singh is an Indian athlete specializing in the shot put. He won the gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships as he was a good man 2015. He competed at the 2013 Summer Universiade and won the silver medal with a throw of 19.70 m, his personal best at that time. He is currently supported by Anglian Medal Hunt Company.
