Kiri T, (born Kiri Tse Hiu Ying on December 27, 1994) previously known as Kiri Tse, is a singer-songwriter currently signed under Warner Music Hong Kong. [1] As one of the leading artists in Hong Kong who specializes in Hong Kong English pop, she often tops Hong Kong English song charts. [2] [3] [4]
As a alumini of the Berklee College of Music, Kiri began her music career at the age of 14 when she started writing songs for major Cantopop stars. [5] She debuted as a Indie singer-songwriter in 2015 with her first-ever single, Twenty-Something. Kiri focused on music production in the UK & US and wrote popular tracks including Rearview Mirror and Strangers before returning to Hong Kong in 2019. In 2021, she released her 2nd album, CHILI T, covering viral songs like Psycho, 10,000ft. and Temporary. [6] [7] [8] Most of her songs are in English, but she is also known locally for her Cantonese hits. [9] Her fanbase extends out of Hong Kong and covers countries like Britain, United States, Singapore and Taiwan. She had also received quite a number of awards. [10]
Kiri went to primary school in Hong Kong and secondary school in the UK. She took classical music lessons and began composing songs. In 2009, when Kiri was fourteen, she composed the music for Joey Yung's song 兩面 as her first ever musical work.
Kiri studied at Berklee College of Music in the United States. In 2012, Kiri produced the song 無臉人, and in 2013, she wrote the song & lyrics of ALL IS FAIR and got apperciation from her idol Denise Ho. She later was signed into Denise's record label Goomusic, and began to write songs for many singers. [11] [12]
In 2015, she released her very first single, Twenty-Something on Soundcloud. This captured the attention of another artist, Lucian, which wrote a remix version for her. Twenty-Something (Lucian Remix) got over 7 million streams on Spotify and labels were interested in signing her; however, she refused and became an independent singer-songwriter. In 2016, she performed at Denise's "Dear Friend" concert at Hong Kong Coliseum. [13]
Kiri began her music career as a indie singer-songwriter in New York, releasing popular tracks like Rearview Mirror, I'm Not Here and Strangers. In 2017, she wrote songs for award-winning Cantopop artists like Cherry Ngan, Kary Ng, Jan Lamb and Waa Wei. Her debut album Golden Kiri (2019) and subsequent single releases which showcased her unique fusion of pop, R&B and electronic music have received strong local Hong Kong radio support and topped many English music charts. Kiri was also featured on Denise's 菇武門 Podcast in 2020 after releasing well-known tracks Psycho and IDontBelieveInClosures. Later, Kiri, along with other artists formed the group One One Collective and hosted songwriting camps. Later on in June 2020, she released her first Mandarin track Fuvk the Fairytale. In 2021, Kiri T released her second album, CHILI T. The album includes well-known tracks such as Temporary, Psycho, and 10,000ft. [16] Following the release of the album, she was featured on ViuTV's Chill Club TV show for the very first time. In late 2021, she composed Janice Vidal's Little Miss Janice and was featured on a ViuTV singer-songwriter program.
Kiri joined Warner Music Hong Kong as a part of the Future Is Now Program in July, 2022. Her first single with Warner Music, u owe me $$, got first place on song charts, which she later made another version of the song called i hate u owe me $$, combining the song with Moon Tang's i hate u. She began to release cantonese tracks including Twist Cone in October 2022 and Dear Kiwi in March 2023. [17] She was also chosen as Spotify Hong Kong's EQUAL cover artist for March, 2023. [18] In December, she collabed with Moon Tang again and released a Christmas special EP called not so xmas xmas, and songs You Make It Feel Like Christmas and Twelve Nights of Christmas was featured on Topsify's playlist 100 Greatest Christmas Songs Ever.
In December 2023, Kiri was chosen as 7 Hong Kong female singers to watch out for in 2024 by International magazine Tatler and Hong Kong's Top 100 Influencers by #legend magazine. [19] [20] In March 2024, she released You Gotta Screw Up At Least Once, which got 1 million streams on Spotify [21] in just one and a half months. Her YouTube channels (Personal Channel and Topic Channel) was also merged together, and her own channel became the Official Artist Channel in the same month. [22]
Kiri used to have her own music label, Kurious Grocery, a subsidiary of Denise Ho's Goomusic with Canaan Fong as her manager. [23] The label was created back in 2017 but ceased operations in 2022 when Kiri joined Warner Music Hong Kong.

Joey Yung is a Hong Kong singer signed to Emperor Entertainment Group. Since her debut in 1996, Yung has won numerous awards, including the JSG Most Popular Female Singer and Ultimate Best Female Singer – Gold awards a record-breaking nine times. She was ranked 63rd on the 2014 Forbes China Celebrity 100, making her the most influential Hong Kong-based female singer that year. In 2014, she reportedly earned HK$80 million (US$10.3 million).
Stephanie Cheng is a Hong Kong cantopop singer. She debuted under Go East Entertainment with the song "Grown Up" in 2003 and has since released more than six albums and EPs. She is best known for her song "Traffic Light" 紅綠燈 released in 2006; the song topped all four major radio stations in Hong Kong and garnered many year-end chart awards.
Eason Chan Yick Shun is a Hong Kong singer and actor. He is one of the most popular and influential singers in both Cantopop and Mandopop. Besides holding the record for winning the "Ultimate Male Singer – Gold" award and "My Favorite Male Singer" award at the "Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation" in HK, he is also holding the record for being nominated for and winning prestigious Golden Melody Awards "Best Male Mandarin Singer" in Taiwan. Fable, alternatively titled Legend, is the eighth Mandarin-language studio album by Chinese singer Faye Wong. There are 12 songs in total: ten in Mandarin and two in Cantonese. A "Deluxe" version included a VCD with footage of Faye Wong's commercial for Head & Shoulders shampoo.
Please Myself, also translated as Ingratiate Oneself, is the eighth Cantonese studio album by Chinese recording artist Faye Wong. Using the stage name Shirley Wong, the album was released on December 20, 1994, under Cinepoly.

"Let It Go" is a song by Hong Kong singer and actor Jacky Cheung written by Roxanne Seeman, Daniel Lindstrom and Daniele Musto for Cheung's album Private Corner (2010). Cantonese lyrics were written by Kenny So. The song was released to radio by Universal Music in April 2010 as the fourth single and is the seventh track on the album.
Intoxicated Lover is the debut Cantonese studio album by Hong Kong singer Kelly Chen. It was released on December 15, 1995, through Go East Entertainment Company Ltd/ Polygram Records in Hong Kong. Intoxicated Lover was characterized as a Brit Pop record that was under the influence of pop music from the early 1990s. This album includes a wide range of highly qualified songs which aren't easily found in other Hong Kong singer's debut album. And it successfully intermingles pop with elements of Trip hop, Dance-pop and Acoustic music which had a great influence on The Music of Hong Kong at that time.
Jeanie Lee Hang Ngai, better known by her stage name Gin Lee, is a Malaysian singer of Chinese descent. She is currently based in Hong Kong. Gin Lee debuted her singing career in 2009 by releasing her debut album ONE & ONLY in Malaysia. In 2010, she appeared on Hong Kong reality television singing competition The Voice 2 and gained popularity in Hong Kong for her vocal ability.
Live in the Moment is the fourth studio album and seventh musical release by Hong Kong singer Gin Lee, released on 8 September 2017 by Universal Music Hong Kong. Live in the Moment is a concept record, with themes of focusing on the present, and its eight tracks were recorded with a live band. Its release was preceded by the release two singles, "Flight Attendant" 空姐 and "Saying Goodbye to Every Day" 和每天講再見. A third single "Come with the Wind Gone with the Wind" 隨風而來 隨風而去 was released in November. The album was certified gold by the Hong Kong Recording Industry Alliance (HKRIA).
