Kishkindhapuri is a 2025 Indian Telugu-language horror thriller film written and directed by Koushik Pegallapati. [2] It is produced by Sahu Garapati for Shine Screens Ananda Media and stars Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran in important roles. [3]
The film was released on 12 September 2025, [4] receiving positive reviews from critics and emerging as commercial success at the box office.
The Story follows Raghava and his girlfriend Mythili who are members of a ghost walking tour company which take tourists and locals to a ghost walking tours that are said to be haunted however they are just kind of frauds who script the whole tour only for spreading awareness and make the people less frightened and fearless to be honest.
On the other hand, in the village of Kishkindhapuri there lies a radio station named Suvarna Maya which is said to be haunted by the first and last speaker of the radio who died on the same day of the radio station's establishment and soon the radio station's owners too died a gruesome death inside.
Raghava and his group end up picking Suvarna Maya as their next tour spot and arrive at the location only to find it sealed and they notice somekind of rituals are performed however Raghava destroys them and enters the building one by one. Unnoticed by them, a spirit enters the building along with them.
Soon they start experiencing eerie happenings and they decide to leave and they take a radio each for all the 12 people including Raghava and Mythili also they accidentally destroy a antic mirror in the process of exploring the building.
The next day all the 12 people receive a haunting notice from the ghost of the Suvarna Maya through the radios they bought with them that they will die one by one for entering its domain and also expresses gratitude for re-starting the Suvarna Maya telecasts.
Raghava, upon the death of two of the 12, starts investigating about the Suvarna Maya but no one is ready to tell him anything in fear of the ghost however he learns something about the ghost from some old newspapers and decide to confront the ghost himself.
Raghava taunts and provokes the ghost revealing its a man hiding behind the mask of a woman and ridicules him and reveals his name to be Visravaputra. The ghost angered and mocked changes his plans and declares the next one who will die will be Raghava and it will be a gruesome one.
The rest of the story is how Raghava protects himself and Mythili all along with trying to destroy Visrava's soul and between him and the process lies the big question: What has happened to Visravaputra and in the Suvarna Maya in the past?
The background score and soundtrack were composed by Chaitan Bharadwaj.

Kishkindhapuri was released on 12 September 2025. [5] The satellite television and digital streaming rights were acquired by Zee Telugu and ZEE5 respectively. [6]
Writing for The Times of India, Shreya Varanasi rated the film 3 out of 5 and stated that the film is "a decent attempt that delivers on suspense and performances but falls short with its emotional depth, pacing, and technical execution". [7] BH Harsh of Cinema Express too gave the same rating and praised the storytelling and direction of Koushik Pegallapati. [8] Telangana Today praised the story writing, lead actors' performances, background score and cinematography. [9] The Hindu too appreciated the actors' performance while being critical towards the screenplay and execution. [10]
The film was Srinivas's first commercial success at box office in 6 years.
