Arkansas is a landlocked state in the south-central region of the Southern United States. It is bordered by Missouri to the north, Tennessee and Mississippi to the east, Louisiana to the south, and Texas and Oklahoma to the west. Its name is from the Osage language, a Dhegiha Siouan language, and referred to their relatives, the Quapaw people. The state's diverse geography ranges from the mountainous regions of the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains, which make up the U.S. Interior Highlands, to the densely forested land in the south known as the Arkansas Timberlands, to the eastern lowlands along the Mississippi River and the Arkansas Delta.
Rogers is a city in Benton County, Arkansas, United States. Located in the Ozarks, it is part of the Northwest Arkansas region, one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country. Rogers was the location of the first Walmart store, whose corporate headquarters is located in neighboring Bentonville. Daisy Outdoor Products, known for its air rifles, has both its headquarters and its Airgun Museum in Rogers.
Marion is a city in and the county seat of Crittenden County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 12,345 at the 2010 census, a 38.7% increase since 2000. The city is part of the Memphis metropolitan area. It is the second largest city in Crittenden County, behind West Memphis.
Beebe is a city in White County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 7,315 at the 2010 U.S. Census, making it the second most populous in the county. The city is home to Arkansas State University-Beebe. ASU-Beebe also has branch campuses in Heber Springs and Searcy and at Little Rock Air Force Base.
The Boston Mountains is a Level III ecoregion designated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the U.S. states of Arkansas and Oklahoma. Part of the Ozarks, the Boston Mountains are a deeply dissected plateau. The ecoregion is steeper than the adjacent Springfield Plateau to the north, and bordered on the south by the Arkansas Valley. The Oklahoma portion of the range is locally referred to as the Cookson Hills. There are several theories of how the mountains were named, though apparently none are related to the Massachusetts city.
Ronald Dale Kittle is an American former left fielder and designated hitter in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was known for his home run hitting power, and was named the 1983 AL Rookie of the Year. Kittle played for the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees (1986–87), Cleveland Indians (1988) and Baltimore Orioles (1990). He batted and threw right-handed. Kittle was also a manager for the minor league Schaumburg Flyers.

Highway 289 is a designation for two north–south state highways in north central Arkansas. A southern route of 4.93 miles (7.93 km) runs north from Highway 69B (AR 69B) at Sage to Zion. A second route of 37.89 miles (60.98 km) begins at Highway 56 in Franklin and runs north to Highway 9 in Mammoth Spring.
Savoy is an unincorporated community in Litteral Township, Washington County, Arkansas, United States. It is located on County Route 845 east of Lake Wedington. The Ozark National Forest is just west of the community. The Savoy area is marked with bluffs and streams. A distinctive feature is the dam on Clear Creek where a flour mill was once in operation. Savoy had a post office and businesses that no longer exist.
Galla Rock is an unincorporated community in Wilson Township, southern Pope County, Arkansas, United States. The community is on Arkansas Route 105 just north of the Arkansas River and the Pope-Yell county line. Atkins is approximately 4.5 miles to the north along Route 105.
Blue Springs Village is an unincorporated community in Brush Creek Township in northeastern Washington County, Arkansas, United States. The community is located east of Springdale, just north of U.S. Route 412 on the west bank of Beaver Lake.
Oak Grove is an unincorporated community in Springdale Township of northern Washington County, Arkansas, United States. It is located on the northwest side of Springdale just east of the combined U.S. routes 62, 71, 540.
White Rock is an unincorporated community in Fayetteville Township, Washington County, Arkansas, United States. It is located about three miles west of Fayetteville on Arkansas Highway 16. Goose Creek is just south of the community.
Rhea is an unincorporated community in Rhea's Mill Township, Washington County, Arkansas, United States. It is located on a county road north of Lincoln and Lincoln Lake. Weddington Mountain is just to the west.

It is home to the Florida A&M Rattlers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Built in 1983, it has a capacity of 500 spectators. It features a natural grass surface, stadium lighting, dugouts, and a press box.
Betty Lou Bumpers was an American politician, advocate for childhood immunizations, and world peace activist, who served as the First Lady of Arkansas from 1971 to 1975. Together, she and Rosalynn Carter ran a successful campaign to ensure that all American school children were immunized. Bumpers was the wife of Dale Bumpers, who served as governor of Arkansas from 1971 to 1975 and as a U.S. Senator from 1975 to 1999.
