Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu is a political party in Malaysia. It is currently the largest political party in Sarawak. Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu was formed from the combination of three parties in Sarawak; Parti Negara Sarawak, Barisan Rakyat Jati Sarawak and Parti Pesaka Anak Sarawak. The formation of the party was for the purpose of the improvement of the livelihood and protect the rights of the Bumiputera in many fields such as politics, economy and social. Formerly a part of Semenanjung-based coalition Barisan Nasional (BN), following the defeat of BN in the 2018 general election and in the aftermath of a meeting between all Sarawak-based BN coalition parties on 12 June 2018, PBB left the coalition to form a new Sarawak-based coalition, Sarawak Parties Alliance.
University of Putra Malaysia, abbreviated as UPM, is a Malaysian public research university located in Serdang, Selangor. Formerly it was named Universiti Pertanian Malaysia, focusing on agricultural sciences and related fields. Since the 1990s, the fields of study have expanded to include human ecology, languages, architecture, medicine, computer science and biotechnology. Currently there are 15 faculties, 11 institutes and 2 schools covering these as well as agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine, economics, engineering, sciences, and education.

Abdul Rahman bin Ya'kub was a Malaysian politician of Melanau descent from Mukah. He was the third Chief Minister of Sarawak and the fourth Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak. He is also an uncle of Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, since his (Taib's) mother Hajah Hamidah Ya'akub (1916–2006) was his (Rahman's) eldest-born sibling.
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka is a public university located in Durian Tunggal, Malacca, Malaysia. Kolej Yayasan Saad (KYS), formerly known as the Saad Foundation College, was established by Tan Sri Halim Saad as a private, entirely residential institution in 1995. It was built as a tribute to his late father. The school is located in Ayer Keroh, Malacca. In both the Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams, the school is popularly known for achieving outstanding outcomes. Additionally, the school is also known for its wide variety of co-curricular activities such as rugby, netball, swimming,triathlon, orchestra and also debate. The school only accepts scholars who demonstrate merit. Students who want to be admitted into this school submit their applications online, where their applications has to go through stringent selection process that takes into account their academic standing, potential for leadership, and extracurricular engagement. Only roughly 100 slots countrywide are available out of about 5000 submissions. About 100 spots are offered for the Form 1 batch yearly. Half of these spots are set aside for scholars from lower socio-economic environments where they are funded by local GLCs or organisations such as Axiata Foundation and Yayasan Khazanah. The Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus is a branch campus of Universiti Putra Malaysia located in Bintulu, Sarawak. The campus was reopened in November 2001 based on the third objective of UPM's 2001-2010 planning strategy, which is to upgrade UPM's ability as an internationally acclaimed Centre of Study, Agricultural and Biosource Services. It is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Sarawak.

Ahmad Zaidi Adruce bin Muhammed Noor was a Malaysian politician who served as the 5th Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Sarawak. He was the longest-serving governor in consecutive terms from a single appointment, from his inaugural in 1985, to his death in 2000. He was also remembered as the first Sarawakian Bumiputera to receive a MA Degree from a British university.
The MARA Technological University is a public university in Malaysia, based primarily in Shah Alam, Selangor. It was established to help rural Malays in 1956 as the RIDA Training Centre, and opened with around 50 students. It has since grown into the largest institution of higher education in Malaysia as measured by physical infrastructure, faculty and staff, and student enrollment.
The tenth Sarawak state election was held on Saturday, 16 April 2011 after nomination for candidates on Wednesday, 6 April 2011. The purpose of the election was to elect 71 representatives to the Sarawak State Assembly. The ninth state assembly was dissolved by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng on the advice of Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud on 21 March 2011. The previous state election in Sarawak was held in 2006.
Sarawak Report is an investigative journalism website focused on environmental and corruption issues in Malaysia. It has been largely self-published and operated from London since 2010 by Clare Rewcastle Brown. The blog had originally focused on the welfare of the indigenous people in Sarawak but eventually published original exposés on corruption scandals in wider Malaysia. In 2017, it gained wide recognition for its original and early exposure of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal, which had led the Najib Razak-led Malaysian government to block the website. The blog was openly critical of the Barisan Nasional-led state and federal governments of Sarawak and Malaysia, and supportive of the Pakatan Harapan opposition.

He has been Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Gedong since 2021, having previously being the MLA for Satok from 1981 to 2021. He is the son of the first Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Sarawak, Abang Openg Abang Sapiee.
The Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority, abbreviated RISDA, is a Malaysian federal government agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development. Established in 1973, it entrusted to oversee the smallholder sector as an important production sector in the national economy. RISDA also provides higher education through its educational institution, the University College of Agroscience Malaysia.
