"Komodo (Save a Soul)" is a song by Italian trance producer Mauro Picotto. It was released in July 2000 as the fourth single from his album, The Album. The song had a great success in many countries and reached the top 10 in Austria, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland. The song features samples from Deep Forest's "Sweet Lullaby".
The original composition, titled "Komodo Dragon", featured the tribal choir from the song "Sweet Lullaby" and was intended as a medley. Deep Forrest refused to allow the use of the tribal choir so this first version was officially scrapped. In its place an English-language choir with different lyrics was created, resulting in "Komodo [Save A Soul]". The first lost version was recreated in 2024 by Giovanni Erata and posted on YouTube with permission from Deep Forest and ZYX Music. This first version is available on the Komodo Dragon website.
The music video for the song features Mauro Picotto posing as a detective and travelling to stop a mysterious woman from killing men she meets.
