Adana is a large city in southern Turkey. It is situated on the Seyhan River, 35 km (22 mi) inland from the Mediterranean Sea. The administrative seat of Adana province, which had a population of 2.274 million according to the official end-2022 estimates, the city itself had a population of 1,779,463 at that date, making it the fifth most populous city in Turkey.

Çukurova is located north of the Seyhan district, west of the Seyhan River and south of the Seyhan Reservoir.
Sarıçam is a municipality and district of Adana Province, Turkey. Its area is 770 km2, and its population is 221,733 (2022). The southern section of the district is part of the Adana Urban Area. The district is located north of the Yüreğir district, east of the Seyhan River and the Seyhan Reservoir. Çukurova University, Adana Science and Technology University, the New Adana Stadium and the Adana Industrial Park are located in Sarıçam.
Kurttepe is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Çukurova, Adana Province, Turkey. Its population is 6,978 (2022). Before 2008, it was part of the district of Seyhan. The neighborhood is located at north end of the city, at the shores of Seyhan Lake.
Adana Half Marathon is an IAAF international athletic event that takes place in Adana annually since 2011. The marathon is organized the first Sunday following January 5, the independence day of Adana. Master Men, Master Women and Wheelchair competitions, as well as 4 km Public Run are held during the event.
