Kuwait Youth Public Authority

The Kuwait Youth Public Authority is one of the public bodies regulated by Law No. 100 of 2015, and in 2021 the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs was merged with the Public Authority for Youth Affairs, which in turn is concerned with youth affairs through their participation in preparing and developing the strategies of the Authority.

Fayeq Mohammed Al-Ayadhi, better known by his pen name Fayeq Abdul-Jaleel, was a prominent Kuwaiti poet, playwright and lyricist whose work was well known throughout the Arab world. He was captured by Iraqi forces during the invasion of Kuwait in 1990 and he was the best known of more than 600 Kuwaiti civilians who were held as prisoners of war by Saddam Hussein's government. He was never seen by his family or friends again until his remains were unearthed in the Iraqi desert in 2004. The timing and manner of his death is a matter of some enduring mystery.

The Youth Association of Kuwait is the mainstream leftist youth organization in Kuwait which was founded in 2006 under the name National Democratic Youth Association. It aims to build a new generation of Kuwaitis that are interested in community service and help youth achieve their goals. Also, the association is interested in youth issues such as education, unemployment and youth activism.

Mubarak Al Kabeer Port is a port in Bubiyan Island, Kuwait. The port is currently under construction. In April 2021, the port's first phase was completed. The port is part of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Civil Aviation Authority is an agency of the government of Qatar. Its head office is in Doha. It was established in year 2001. Hamad International Airport in Qatar was developed under the supervision of Civil Aviation Authority (Qatar).

Lulwa Al-Qatami, in Arabic: لولوة القطامي is an activist and educator, who was the first woman from Kuwait to attend university abroad. A former Director of Kuwait University and UNESCO ambassador, she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 and in 2019 was awarded the Legion of Honour for her services to education and women's empowerment. She is a founder and former president of the Kuwait Women's Cultural & Social Society.

Abdal Al Al Hamamsi was an Egyptian writer and novelist, born in Akhmim, Sohag Governorate, on June 1, 1932. He was one of the founders of the Egyptian Writers Union, and he died on August 7, 2009, at the age of 77, after a long struggle with cancer.

The Kuwait Municipality is an independent public authority located in Kuwait City. The municipality carries out its work through an elected municipal council whose task is to take care of citizens’ interests, which in turn is subject to the supervision of the minister. The Municipal Council is planning, directing and controlling, and the Municipal Director and the Executive Authority works to complete and implement the work.
