KwaZulu-Natal (cricket team)

KwaZulu-Natal (formerly Natal) is the first-class cricket team that represents the province of KwaZulu-Natal (formerly Natal) in South Africa. For the purposes of the Sunfoil Series, KwaZulu-Natal is the only team that has not merged with another and it has played in the SuperSport Series (as it was named then) as the Dolphins since October 2004. However, the KwaZulu-Natal Inland cricket team was granted first-class status in 2006, began competing in the CSA Provincial Competitions in 2006-2007, and also represented by the Dolphins franchise. The team was originally called Natal and began playing in December 1889 at the start of first-class cricket in South Africa. The name changed in April 1998.^{[ citation needed ]}

Michael Erlank is a South African first-class cricketer. He was included in the Free State cricket team squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup. He was the leading run-scorer in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup for KwaZulu-Natal, with 599 runs in eleven matches.

Marques Jannie Ackerman is a South African first-class cricketer. He was included in the North West squad for the 2016 Africa T20 Cup. In August 2017, he was named in Durban Qalandars' squad for the first season of the T20 Global League. However, in October 2017, Cricket South Africa initially postponed the tournament until November 2018, with it being cancelled soon after.

Okuhle Cele is a South African cricketer. He currently plays for Northerns.

Junaid Dawood is a South African professional cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Eastern Province against KwaZulu-Natal in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup on 25 September 2016. He made his first-class debut for Eastern Province in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 20 October 2016. He made his List A debut for Eastern Province in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 15 January 2017.

Luke Schlemmer is a South African professional cricketer. He made his first-class debut for KwaZulu-Natal Inland in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 20 October 2016. He made his List A debut for KwaZulu-Natal Inland in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 27 November 2016. He made his Twenty20 debut for KwaZulu-Natal Inland in the 2018 Africa T20 Cup on 15 September 2018.

Blayde Capell is a South African cricketer. He made his first-class debut for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 20 October 2016. He made his List A debut for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 15 October 2017.

Tumelo Simelane is a South African cricketer. He made his List A debut for Easterns in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 11 December 2016. In November 2021, he was named in South Africa's team for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. Thula Ngcobo is a South African professional cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 16 November 2017, for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup. He made his List A debut on 19 November 2017, for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge. He made his Twenty20 debut on 14 September 2018, for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2018 Africa T20 Cup.
