Women's Twenty20 International is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match played in a maximum of 150 minutes between any two of the ICC member sides. [1] The first Twenty20 International match was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand, [2] six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams. [3] The South Africa national women's cricket team played their first Twenty20 International match at the County Ground, Taunton in 2007, facing New Zealand, as the two teams' tours of England overlapped.

Since the team was formed, 62 women have represented South Africa in Twenty20 International cricket. [4] This list includes all players who have played at least one Twenty20 International match and is initially arranged in the order of debut appearance. Where more than one player won their first cap in the same match, those players are initially listed alphabetically by last name at the time of debut.

Twenty20 is a shortened format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of twenty overs. Stafanie Roxann Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who is a former captain of the West Indies women's cricket team. She has represented them over 250 times since her debut in 2008. A right-handed batter and off break bowler, Taylor was selected as the 2011 ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year – the first West Indian to receive the accolade. She was also the first woman to score 1,000 runs in ODIs for the West Indies. She plays domestic cricket for Jamaica and Guyana Amazon Warriors and has previously played for Auckland, Sydney Thunder, Adelaide Strikers, Western Storm, Southern Vipers, Southern Brave and Trailblazers.

Cri-Zelda Brits, also written Crizelda Brits and Cri-zelda Brits is a South African cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler, Brits was originally called up to the South Africa national women's cricket team as an opening bowler in 2002. She developed into an all-rounder, and since 2005 has established herself as a specialist batsman. She captained South Africa in 23 matches in 2007 and 2008, but was replaced as captain in 2009 in order to "concentrate entirely on her own performance." She was reappointed as captain for the 2010 ICC Women's World Twenty20. Between 2007 and 2011 she captain South Africa a total of 36 times.

Magdalena "Daleen" Terblanche is a South African former cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batter. She appeared in four Test matches, 61 One Day Internationals and two Twenty20 Internationals for South Africa between 1997 and 2008. She was the first South African woman to pass 1,000 runs in One Day Internationals, doing so in a match against West Indies in April 2005, during her 46th innings. She played domestic cricket for Gauteng.

Danielle Nicole Wyatt-Hodge is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex, Southern Vipers, Southern Brave and England. She plays as an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-arm off break. She made her England debut against India in Mumbai on 1 March 2010.

Yolandi van der Westhuizen is a South African former cricketer and current cricket coach. She played as a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper. She appeared in eight One Day Internationals and 12 Twenty20 Internationals for South Africa between 2009 and 2014. She played domestic cricket for Western Province and Boland.

The Boland women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the South African region of Boland. They compete in the CSA Women's One-Day Cup and the CSA Women's T20 Challenge. They have won two one-day titles and one T20 title.

The Western Province women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for part of the South African province of Western Cape, primarily based in Cape Town. They compete in the CSA Women's One-Day Cup and the CSA Women's T20 Challenge, and they are the most successful side in both competitions, with 9 and 7 title wins, respectively.
