The Lada Revolution was a concept car first presented in 2003 by Russian brand Lada (part of AvtoVAZ). It was an open, single-seater sports car powered by a 1.6 L engine producing 215 hp (160 kW). It was said to be able achieve 0–100 kilometres per hour (0–62 mph) in 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph). [1]

A concept car is a car made to showcase new styling and/or new technology. They are often shown at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced. General Motors designer Harley Earl is generally credited with inventing the concept car, and did much to popularize it through its traveling Motorama shows of the 1950s.

Russia, officially the Russian Federation, is a transcontinental country in Eastern Europe and North Asia. At 17,125,200 square kilometres (6,612,100 sq mi), Russia is by a considerable margin the largest country in the world by area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area, and the ninth most populous, with about 146.77 million people as of 2019, including Crimea. Extending across the entirety of Northern Asia and much of Eastern Europe, Russia spans eleven time zones and incorporates a wide range of environments and landforms. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and North Korea. It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the U.S. state of Alaska across the Bering Strait. However, Russia recognises two more countries that border it, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, both of which are internationally recognized as parts of Georgia.

Lada is a brand of cars manufactured by AvtoVAZ, a company owned by the French Groupe Renault. The first cars manufactured by AvtoVAZ, with technical assistance from Fiat, were marketed under the Zhiguli brand, allegedly chosen after it was suggested by the designer, A. M. Cherny. When the cars began to be exported on foreign markets, the Zhiguli brand was found to be inappropriate, as it was hard to pronounce for non-Russian speakers, and it was said to resemble too closely the word gigolo.

Kirill Ladygin Russian racing driver

Kirill Sergeyevich Ladygin is a Russian auto racing driver. He is twice champion of the Russian LADA Revolution Cup in 2004 and 2006. In 2008 he competed in the FIA World Touring Car Championship when the Russian Bears Motorsport Team entered a third car, alongside Jaap van Lagen and Viktor Shapovalov. He drove in the final eight rounds of the season in a Lada 110, with a best placed race finish of nineteenth.

Lada Sport

Lada Sport is a Russian marketing, advertising, and engineering company based in Togliatti and it is a 100% subsidiary of AvtoVAZ. It is manufacturing the Lada Granta sport and Lada Kalina sport road models and also run the Lada works team in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Their first season was the 2009 season.

Automotive production is a significant industry in Russia, directly employing around 600,000 people or 1% of the country's total workforce. Russia produced 1,303,989 vehicles in 2016, ranking 16th among car-producing nations in 2016, and accounting for 1.4% of the worldwide production. The main local brands are light vehicle producers AvtoVAZ and GAZ, while KamAZ is the leading heavy vehicle producer. Eleven foreign carmakers have production operations or are constructing their plants in Russia.

Lada Largus compact car built by the Russian manufacturer AvtoVAZ

The Lada Largus is a subcompact estate car built by the Russian manufacturer AvtoVAZ since 2012. It is essentially a rebadged version of the Renault-developed first generation Dacia Logan MCV and is produced as a joint project with Renault and Nissan.

The Lada XRAY is a compact crossover car produced by the Russian car manufacturer AvtoVAZ. Designed by a team led by Steve Mattin, the chief designer of the Lada Vesta, it was first presented as a concept in August 2012 at the Moscow International Automobile Salon. A newer version, the Lada XRAY Concept 2, debuted in August 2014. The Lada XRAY was released for sale in early 2016.

VAZ-2106 VAZ-2106 automobile

The VAZ-2106 Zhiguli was a sedan produced by the Soviet automaker VAZ, and later, after the breakup of the Soviet Union, also by Russian Izhevsk Avto and Ukrainian Anto-Rus. In export markets, it was known simply as Lada 1600 or alternatively as Lada 2106, by its famous commercial name and was also popularly nicknamed Шестёрка in domestic market. A hugely popular car and one of most successful Lada models, it was in serial production for 30 years, although production in its native VAZ ended after 25 years, in 2001, and was continued to be manufactured at Izhevsk for the last five years.

Datsun on-Do

The Datsun on-Do is a subcompact car manufactured specifically for the Russian market under the Datsun brand of Nissan Motor Company. It is a rebadged and restyled version of the AutoVAZ developed Lada Granta and it also has own VAZ-index 2195. The on-Do was launched in Russia on April 4, 2014 and AutoVAZ started serial manufacturing of the car in July 14, 2014.

The Lada Vesta is a compact car produced by the Russian car company AvtoVAZ since 2015. It was presented in August 2014 during the Moscow International Automobile Salon and went into mass production on 25 September 2015 in Izhevsk./
