Lama-ye Olya (Persian : لماعليا‎, also Romanized as Lamā-ye ‘Olyā)^[1] is a village in Sadat Mahmudi Rural District, Pataveh District, Dana County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 356, in 68 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Sadat Mahmudi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Pataveh District, Dana County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,370, in 2,088 families. The rural district has 42 villages.

Pataveh District is a district (bakhsh) in Dana County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 25,353, in 5,066 families. The District has one city: Pataveh. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Pataveh Rural District and Sadat Mahmudi Rural District.
