Sar Chenar (Persian : سرچنار‎, also Romanized as Sar Chenār)^[1] is a village in Chenar Rural District, Kabgian District, Dana County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 62, in 11 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script, which itself evolved from the Aramaic alphabet.

Chenar Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kabgian District, Dana County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,297, in 499 families. The rural district has 29 villages.

Kabgian District is a district (bakhsh) in Dana County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,391, in 2,228 families. The District has one city: Chitab. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Chenar Rural District and Kabgian Rural District.
