Archaeoindris fontoynontii is an extinct giant lemur and the largest primate known to have evolved on Madagascar, comparable in size to a male gorilla. It belonged to a family of extinct lemurs known as "sloth lemurs" (Palaeopropithecidae) and, because of its extremely large size, it has been compared to the ground sloths that once roamed North and South America. It was most closely related to Palaeopropithecus, the second largest type of sloth lemur. Along with the other sloth lemurs, Archaeoindris was related to the living indri, sifakas, and woolly lemurs, as well as the recently extinct monkey lemurs (Archaeolemuridae). The genus, Archaeoindris, translates to "ancient indri-like lemur", even though it probably became extinct recently, around 350 BCE.
Venango Regional Airport, also known as Chess Lamberton Field, is a public airport in western Pennsylvania, 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Franklin and about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Oil City. Both cities are in Venango County, which operates the airport. The airport had limited airline service, which was subsidized by the Essential Air Service program until October 2019.

William de Lamberton, sometimes modernized as William Lamberton, was Bishop of St Andrews from 1297 until his death. Lamberton is renowned for his influential role during the Scottish Wars of Independence. He campaigned for the national cause under William Wallace and later Robert the Bruce. As Bishop of St Andrews, the most powerful seat in Scotland, Bishop Lamberton along with Bishop Robert Wishart of Glasgow conducted the coronation of Robert the Bruce as King Robert I. Lamberton would go on to have a vital role in the formulation of the Declaration of the Clergy 1310 and the Declaration of Arbroath which would lead to Scottish Independence.

Cryptoprocta spelea, also known as the giant fossa, is an extinct species of carnivore from Madagascar in the family Eupleridae which is most closely related to the mongooses and includes all Malagasy carnivorans. It was first described in 1902, and in 1935 was recognized as a separate species from its closest relative, the living fossa. C. spelea was larger than the fossa, but otherwise similar. The two have not always been accepted as distinct species. When and how C. spelea became extinct is unknown; there is some anecdotal evidence, including reports of very large fossas, that there is more than one surviving species.
Robert E. Lamberton High School was an American high school located in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia. The school was closed in 2013 as part of Philadelphia's shutdown of 23 district-run schools. Displaced students were enrolled in Overbrook High School.
Lamberton Lake is a 28.5-acre (115,000 m2) freshwater lake located in Kent County in Western Michigan. The lake is approximately 1,700 feet (520 m) long and 1,040 feet (320 m) wide and is centered at 43.02°N 85.63°W just within the city limits in northeast Grand Rapids. The surface elevation is 650 feet (200 m), and most of the lake is less than 15 feet (4.6 m) deep. There is one island in the lake, approximately 160 feet (49 m) long and 70 feet (21 m) wide, located in the northwest part of the lake. A low ridge runs along the east side of the lake and overlooks it.
Charles Lamberton was a French paleontologist who lived and studied on the island of Madagascar between 1911 and 1948 and specialized in the recently extinct subfossil lemurs. He made significant contributions towards fixing misattributions of skeletal remains and poor interpretations of subfossil lemur behavior. His paleontological expeditions during the 1930s led to the discovery of a new species of Mesopropithecus, a type of sloth lemur. Three species—one mammal and two reptiles—were named after him, although one is now considered a taxonomic synonym.
The 1943 Philadelphia mayoral election saw the reelection of Bernard Samuel, who had taken office after the death of Robert Eneas Lamberton.
