Las Vegas Wash is a 12-mile-long channel which feeds most of the Las Vegas Valley's excess water into Lake Mead. The wash is sometimes called an urban river, and it exists in its present capacity because of an urban population. The wash also works in a systemic conjunction with the pre-existing wetlands that formed the oasis of the Las Vegas Valley. The wash is fed by urban runoff, shallow ground water, reclaimed water, and stormwater.
Fremington Edge is a 5 kilometres (3 mi) long wall of crags and scree slopes that is situated to the north of the village of Reeth in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, England. Fremington Edge forms the northern edge of Arkengarthdale, extending to the point where the dale meets Swaledale. Throughout its full length the Edge stays above the height of 400 metres and reaches a highest point of 473 metres (1552 feet) at the northern end of the escarpment.
Langthwaite is one of the few villages in Arkengarthdale, North Yorkshire, England. It is 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north of Reeth and sits 870 feet (270 m) above sea level. It is the main settlement in the dale and is one of the most northerly settlements in the whole of Yorkshire Dales National Park. Langthwaite is one of two places in the dale that have houses clustered together closely in a traditional village set up; the rest of the settlements in the dale are populated by scattered buildings.
Stream restoration or river restoration, also sometimes referred to as river reclamation, describes work conducted to improve the environmental health of a river or stream, in support of biodiversity, recreation, flood management and/or landscape development. Stream restoration approaches can be divided into two broad categories: form-based restoration, which relies on physical interventions in the stream to improve its conditions; and process-based restoration, which advocates the restoration of hydrological and geomorphological processes to ensure the stream's resilience and ecological health. Form-based restoration techniques include deflectors; cross-vanes; weirs, step-pools and other grade control structures; engineered log jams; bank stabilization methods and other channel reconfiguration efforts. These induce immediate change in the stream, but sometimes fail to achieve the desired effects if degradation originates at a wider scale. Process-based restoration includes restoring lateral or longitudinal connectivity of water and sediment fluxes and limiting interventions within in a corridor defined based on the stream's hydrology and geomorphology. The beneficial effects of process-based restoration projects may sometimes take time to be felt since changes in the stream will occur at a pace that depends on the stream dynamics.

The Bomber Command Museum of Canada, formerly the Nanton Lancaster Society Museum, is an aviation museum in Nanton, Alberta. The museum opened in 1986 and was founded to protect and restore Avro Lancaster FM159, one of only 17 remaining in the world. It has since grown to include a large collection of aircraft, many of which were used during the War by the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
Greaves House in Greaves Park, Lancaster, England, is a building of historical significance and is listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in 1843 by the Reverend Samuel Simpson and was the residence of many notable people for the next century. It is now a restaurant and caters for special events particularly weddings.
