Upon its release the album received predominantly positive reviews from music critics, with some calling it the group's strongest and most mature work. This was Daughtry's last album to be released on RCA Records.
Dearly Beloved is the sixth studio album by American rock band Daughtry, released on September 17, 2021, through Dogtree Records. It is their first studio album in three years since Cage to Rattle in 2018, and their first album not to be released by RCA Records. A Dearly Beloved Tour would start in November 2021 and feature Sevendust and Tremonti as co-headlineres, however, due to the sudden death of Chris Daughtry's step-daughter, the first shows were rescheduled. It is the last album to feature founding bassist Josh Paul, who left the band in January 2022.
