It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,180 square kilometers (1,230 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Lebyazhye. [1] Population: 16,557(2010 Census); [3] 21,178 (2002 Census); [7] 23,490(1989 Soviet census).
