Bracken County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,488. Its county seat is Brooksville. The county was formed in 1796.

History

A post office was established at Lenoxburg in 1874, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1906. [2] The community was probably named for Samuel B. Lenox, a local merchant. [3]
