Bracken County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,488. Its county seat is Brooksville. The county was formed in 1796.

West Virginia Route 27 is an east–west state highway located within the Northern Panhandle county of Brooke in West Virginia. The western terminus of the route is at West Virginia Route 2 in Wellsburg. The eastern terminus is at the Pennsylvania state line five miles (8 km) east of Wellsburg, where WV 27 continues east into the border town of Independence as Pennsylvania Route 844.

New York State Route 367 highway in New York

New York State Route 367 (NY 367) is a state highway located entirely within the village of Wellsburg in Chemung County, New York, in the United States. It is one of the shortest state routes in New York, extending for just 1.07 miles (1.72 km) from the Pennsylvania state line south of the village center to an intersection with NY 427 just north of it. The route serves as the main street of Wellsburg in both function and name. There is no corresponding signed state route on the Pennsylvania side of the border; instead, the road becomes State Route 4013 (SR 4013), one of Pennsylvania's unsigned quadrant routes. NY 367 originally extended north to Lowman when it was assigned as part of the 1930 renumbering of state highways in New York. It was truncated to its current length in 1949.

The rolling terrain is punctuated with a few highwalls and ponds. Cross Creek WMA can be reached by State Route 7 about 6 miles (9.7 km) northeast of Wellsburg.

Brooke High School is a public high school in Wellsburg, West Virginia, United States. It is the only high school in the Brooke County School District. Athletic teams compete as the Brooke Bruins in the WVSSAC Class AAA as well as the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.

Wellsburg Wharf is a historic wharf located at Wellsburg, Brooke County, West Virginia. The public wharf was built in 1836. The site consists of remains of the wharf and the foundations of two warehouses. The wharf remains consist of cobblestones along the riverbank. One of the warehouses was built by Danforth Brown.
