Lepthoplosternum altamazonicum is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Callichthyidae and the subfamily Callichthyinae, the armoured catfishes. ^[2] It is found in the upper Amazon River basin in Peru and Brazil, ^[3]
