Lewis John Hill (born 5 October 1990) is an English cricketer. Hill is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper.
Educated at Hastings High School and John Cleveland College in Hinckley,Hill has played Second XI cricket for Leicestershire since 2009. [1] During the 2012 season,Hill was selected as part of the Unicorns squad for the 2012 Clydesdale Bank 40. [2] He made his List A debut during the competition against Northamptonshire at Sir Paul Getty's Ground,Wormsley. [3] He was dismissed for a golden duck in the match by Lee Daggett,with Northamptonshire winning by 8 wickets. [4] However in his next outing for the Unicorns against Warwickshire he made an impressive 35 before being dismissed by Chris Wright. In May 2015,Hill made his first-class début at Canterbury for Leicestershire vs Kent. He made 57 and 3 respectively. Although not being in the squad for Leicestershire's trip to Surrey,Boyce failed a late fitness test,meaning Lewis Hill was once again selected. He was chosen to open the batting. He made 126 off just 147 balls,hitting 18 fours and 2 sixes in the process.
Having been white-ball captain since 2021, [5] Hill was put in charge of the Leicestershire red-ball team in November 2022, [6] holding both roles until stepping down in September 2024. [5]

James William Arthur Taylor is an English former cricketer and cricket selector who played for Nottinghamshire and England. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm leg break bowler,Taylor made his debut in first-class cricket in 2008 for Leicestershire and made major impressions in his first county seasons. He is noted as being a fine fielder in the covers. He became the youngest Leicestershire one-day centurion and first-class double centurion. In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season. A promising talent in his 34 white-ball appearances for England,Taylor was forced into retirement at just 26 years of age due to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.

The ECB40,last known as the Yorkshire Bank 40 (YB40) for sponsorship reasons,was a forty-over limited overs cricket competition for the English first-class counties. It began in the 2010 English cricket season as a replacement for the Pro40 and Friends Provident Trophy competitions. Yorkshire Bank were the last sponsors,taking over the naming rights from their parent company Clydesdale Bank for the 2013 edition. Warwickshire won the inaugural tournament. The competition was replaced by a 50-over tournament,to bring the domestic game in line with the international game from 2014 on—the Royal London One-Day Cup.

In 2010,Querl was selected as one of 21 players to form the first Unicorns squad to take part in the Clydesdale Bank 40 domestic limited overs competition against the regular first-class counties. The Unicorns comprised 15 former county cricket professionals and 6 young cricketers looking to establish themselves in the professional game. Querl played for the Unicorns in the 2011 Clydesdale Bank 40.

The One-Day Cup is a fifty-over limited overs cricket competition for the England and Wales first-class counties. It began in 2014 as a replacement for the ECB 40 tournament,which ran from 2010 to 2013. It is currently known as the "Metro Bank One Day Cup". In contrast to its 40-over predecessor,the number of overs per innings was set at 50 to bring the competition in line with One-Day Internationals.
