In 2009, Paparu joined the Community Empowerment for Rural Development (CEFORD) as a program officer [7] and then as the Program Manager for CEFORD. [4] She lectured at Uganda Christian University, Mukono, and later taught at the campus in Arua.

Personal life

Papru is married to Simon Ababo, who works as an administrative officer in the Arua District. They have two children. [1]

In the 2020 National resistance movement NRM party flag bearer elections, Karooro lost to Annet Katusiime Mugisha who was elected Bushenyi district woman member of parliament in the 2021 Uganda presidential and parliamentary elections.

Ida Erios Nantaba is a Ugandan politician. She was the State Minister in the Uganda Ministry of Information and Communications Technology. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. Prior to that, from 15 August 2012 until 6 June 2016, she was Minister of State for Lands in the Cabinet of Uganda. Nantaba is also the elected Member of Parliament for Women in Kayunga District Constituency.

Beti Olive Namisango Kamya-Turomwe, also known as Betty Kamya and Beti Kamya, is a businesswoman and politician in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community. She is the Inspector General of Government in Uganda, since 16 July 2021.

Evelyn Anite Kajik, commonly known as Evelyn Anite, is a Ugandan journalist and politician. She is the State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization in the Ugandan Cabinet since 6 June 2016. Previously, she served as State Minister for Youth. She was appointed to that position on 1 March 2015, replacing Ronald Kibuule, who was appointed State Minister for Water Resources. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Koboko Municipality, in the West Nile sub-region, in the Northern Region of Uganda, a position she occupied from 2011 until 2021. In the 2020 National Resistance Movement (NRM) primary elections, Anite lost to Dr Charles Ayume, the son of former speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, the late Francis Ayume.

Mariam Naigaga is a Ugandan banker, statistician and politician. She is the elected Woman Representative for Namutumba District in the 10th Parliament and is a member of NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. She serves on the special Presidential Advisory Committee on Budget (PACOB) and is a member of the Budget Committee and the Committee on Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Parliament.

Ismail Ali Ogama is a Ugandan social scientist, certified Project Management Professional and politician. He is the elected Member of Parliament for Lower Madi County, Arua District, and a representative for NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. He is a member of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus and serves on the Committee on Public Service and Local Government in the 10th Parliament of Uganda. He lost to Afidra Olema Ronald in the 2021-2026 Parliamentary Elections.

Kassiano Ezati Wadri is a Ugandan social worker and politician. He is the incumbent independent Member of Parliament, representing Arua Municipality in the 10th Parliament, effective 29 August 2018. The seat fell vacant when Ibrahim Abiriga of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), was assassinated in June 2018.

Anita Annet Among is a Ugandan accountant, lawyer and politician who is the incumbent Speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda (2022–2026). She also concurrently serves as the elected member of parliament for the Bukedea District Women Constituency, the same position she held in the 10th Parliament (2016–2021). She was in FDC party before she joined the ruling NRM where she was voted as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Parliament. She is named in the torture complaint against the Ugandan government that was submitted with the International Criminal Court.

Rose Atima Ayaka is a Ugandan politician, who serves as the elected District Woman Representative for Maracha District, in the 10th Ugandan Parliament.

Agnes Nandutu is a female Ugandan journalist, politician and Minister in charge of Karamoja. Veronica Namaganda Nanyondo is a Ugandan politician who represents Bukomansimbi District. She belongs to National Unity Platform (NUP). Nanyondo began her political career in December 2015 under the Democratic Party(DP) ticket after being inspired by her sister Suzan Namaganda who died in road accident. Nanyondo is currently a woman MP for Bukomansimbi district who garnered 23,815 votes that made her a victor. She was interested in contesting for the position of Women MP because she wanted to build on what her late sister had started and thought that she was the right person to replace her.

Juliet Kyinyamatama Suubi(born 22 December 1988) is a Ugandan politician and member of parliament. In 2011, she was elected as a district woman representative in the parliament for Rakai district, re-elected for the second term in office in the 2016 Uganda General elections and for the 3rd term in office in the 2021 Uganda General elections.

Justine Khainza also referred to as Khainza Justine is a Ugandan politician and social worker. She is the district woman representative of Bududa District in the 9th and 10th Parliament of Uganda. She is a member of the National Resistance Movement political party. In the 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections, she lost the vote to Agnes Nandutu who is the current district woman representative of Bududa District in the 11th Parliament of Uganda.

Hellen Asamo also known as Asamo Hellen Grace is a Ugandan teacher and a representative of people with disabilities for Eastern region who served in the ninth and tenth Parliaments of Uganda. She won the 2021 general elections for her position as the representative of people with disabilities for Eastern region. Hellen is affiliated to the National Resistance Movement political party.

Linda agnes Auma is a Ugandan politician and legislator, she represents the people of Lira district as woman member of parliament in the parliament of Uganda, which she entered on an independent ticket. Auma is the state minister for Gender and culture and the vice chairperson of the National women council. She is also the former Resident district commissioner (RDC) Of Amuru district.
