Pia Merete Kjærsgaard is a Danish politician who was Speaker of the Danish Parliament from 2015 to 2019, and former leader of the Danish People's Party.
The Folketing, also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, until 1953 the Folketing was the lower house of a bicameral parliament, called the Rigsdag; the upper house was the Landsting. It meets in Christiansborg Palace, on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen.

Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats political party. From 2019 to 2022, she has served as Minister of Children and Education. She was elected into parliament at the 2011 Danish general election. She had previously been a member of parliament from 2001 to 2007 as a member of the Red-Green Alliance. From 2011 to 2014, she was the spokesperson on climate and energy for the Social Democrats.
Johanne Schmidt-Nielsen is a former member of the Danish parliament for the Red-Green Alliance. Schmidt-Nielsen has been referred to as the "new queen of the Red-Green Alliance" by parts of the press. She now serves as secretary general for Save the Children.
Pernille Skipper is a former Danish politician. She was a member of the Folketing from 2011 to 2022, and was political spokesperson for the Red–Green Alliance from 2016 to 2021, succeeding Johanne Schmidt-Nielsen. In 2021 she was replaced by Mai Villadsen.
Constituencies are used for elections to the Folketing, the national parliament of Denmark. Denmark proper is divided into 10 constituencies largely corresponding to the Provinces of Denmark, each electing multiple members using open-list proportional representation. Those constituencies are then divided into 92 opstillingskredse which mainly serve the purpose of nominating candidates, but historically functioned as single-member constituencies electing one member using plurality voting.

Pernille Frahm is a Danish politician and teacher who served two terms as a member of the Folketing for the Socialist People's Party from 1990 to 1994 and again from 2007 to 2011 as well as serving as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Confederal Group of the European United Left – Nordic Green Left group between 1999 and 2004. She also was twice a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe between 1998 and 1999 and also from 2007 to 2011.
Mette Marie Madsen was a Danish politician for the Venstre political party, autobiographer and writer. She was the minister representing the North Jutland constituency in the Folketing between 1971 and 1988 and she was the Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs from 1984 to 1988 during the premiership of Poul Schlüter. Madsen was a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the first female chair of the Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education and Information and both the chair of the supervisory committee of both the Danish Arts Foundation and the Royal Danish Theatre. She was appointed Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog and received other foreign awards.
Agnete Laustsen was a Danish Conservative People's Party politician. She served as a member of the Folketing representing the Søndre Storkreds constituency from October 1979 to March 1998. Laustsen was appointed the first Danish Minister of Health by Prime Minister Poul Schlüter, a post she held between September 1987 and June 1988, and was subsequently appointed as the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Housing between June 1988 and December 1990. She was appointed Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1989.
Pelle Dragsted is a Danish author and politician, who has been a member of the Folketing for the Red-Green Alliance since the 2022 Danish general election. He formerly served as member of the Folketing in 2015 to 2019.
Tove Kirsten Lindbo Larsen was a Danish Social Democrats politician who served as Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs and Minister for Greenland from early 1981 to late 1982 in the government of Anker Jørgensen. She also served a total of 22 years as a member of the Folketing for firstly the Vestre Storkreds and then the Søndre Storkreds constituencies between most years from 1971 to 1998.
Olga Johanne Budtz was a Danish Conservative People's Party politician and lawyer who served as an elected member of the Folketing from 1953 to 1973. She worked as an assistant solicitor at Nykøbing Falster before becoming secretary at the Directorate of Patents and Trademarks and the Directorate of Commodity Supply. Budtz was national chair of the Danish Women's Society from 1951 to 1956 and focused on single mothers, child allowances, part-time work and the end of joint taxation. In the Folketing, she focused on children's, family and women's rights, and was chair of the Conservative People's Party's Women's Committee from 1964 until 1974. Budtz was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1965 and was upgraded to Knight First Class of the Order of the Dannebrog six years later.
Pernille Merete Sams is a Danish real estate agent, lawyer and former Conservative People's Party politician who was a member of the Folketing from 1987 to 2001. She was the lawyer of the Conservative People's Party and of its membership before gaining election to the Folketing in 1987. Sams established her real estate business in 1998 and focused on it full time after leaving politics in 2001. She has co- presented the TV 2 programme Liebhaverne alongside Jan Fog and is chair of Denmark's independent real estate agents association, the Danish Independent Estate Agents, since its establishment in 2009. Sams was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1997.
Trine Pertou Mach is a Danish politician serving as Member of the Folketing for the Red–Green Alliance since the 2022 election. She previously served as Member of the Folketing for the Green Left from 2013 to 2015, but switched to the Red-Green Alliance in 2022.
Sofie Lippert Troelsen is a Danish politician and member of the Folketing, the national legislature. A member of the Green Left party, she has represented East Jutland since November 2022.
