Liqeni i Dhenve

Liqeni i Dhenve (meaning Lake of the Sheep in Albanian) is a small mountain lake in the north of Albania. Dhenve Lake is situated in the Accursed Mountains range near to the border with Kosovo. Dhenve Lake is a round lake, and the river that originates from it flows down into the Gashi River. It has a surface area of approximately 0.8 hectares (2.0 acres). [1]

Rivers that originate on this lake flow downwards to join larger rivers and then finally flow into the White Drin.

Lake Sylbicë is a large mountain lake in the Accursed Mountains range in the north of Albania with an area of 2.8 hectares. It is about 1 km (0.62 mi) from the border with Kosovo. This lake is surrounded with meadows and is just east of the somewhat larger Lake Dash.

Gramë Lake is a glacial lake situated in the eastern Korab Mountains, close to the Mount Korab and Mali i Gramës in Albania, spanning an area of 5 ha (0.050 km2). It is also the largest and deepest lake within the mountain range. The lake is located 1,750 metres elevation above sea level. Their shores are steep and rocky. It takes water from rainfall, and snowfall. The biggest amount of water can be observed in the late spring, which is due to melting of the snow on the surrounding peaks.

The Fierza Reservoir is a reservoir in Albania and Kosovo. The Drin River and parts of the White Drin and Black Drin also runs through the reservoir. The size of the lake is 72.6 km2 (28.0 sq mi), of which 2.46 km2 (0.95 sq mi) belong to Kosovo. It is 70 km (43 mi) long and has a depth of 128 m (420 ft). In the Albanian side of the lake there are many canyons and some small islands. The dam is 167 m (548 ft) tall. In 2014, the lake was declared a Regional Nature Park by the Kukës County Council.

Big lake of Buni Jezercë is one of the largest lakes in the Albanian Alps found in the north of Albania. Big Lake is on an altitude of 1,792 m (5,879 ft) above sea level and is the largest of the 6 lakes found in the Buni Jezercë near the Montenegrin border. Many high peaks surround the lake, including Maja e Jezercës with a height of 2,694 m (8,839 ft). This large mountain lake has an estimated maximum length of 380 m (1,247 ft) and a maximum width of 200 m (656 ft). The area of the lake is almost five hectares.

Lurë-Dejë Mountain National Park is a national park in northeastern Albania, spanning an expanded area of 202.42 km2 (78.15 sq mi) since 2018 by encompassing the entire section of Kunora e Lurës, former Zall-Gjocaj National Park, and Dejë Mountain. The park was originally established in 1966 to protect the various ecosystems and biodiversity as Lura National Park. The altitude vary from 1,500–2,300 m (4,921–7,546 ft). The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed the park as Category II. Nevertheless, it is described as an important Bird and Plant Area, because it supports significant bird and plant species.

Sope Lake is the largest natural mountain lake in Albania. Sope Lake is located on the southern slopes of the Mali i Lopës with a surface elevation of 1,734 m (5,689 ft). The maximum length of the lake is about 880 m (2,887 ft) and the maximum width of it is about 730 m (2,395 ft). The lake has a surface area of 29 hectares.

Lake Koman is a reservoir on the Drin River in northern Albania. Lake Koman is surrounded by dense forested hills, vertical slopes, deep gorges, and a narrow valley, completely taken up by the river. Besides the Drin, it is fed by the Shala and Valbona Rivers. The lake stretches in an area of 34 km2 (13 sq mi), its width being 400 m (0.25 mi). The narrowest gorge, which is surrounded by vertical canyon walls, is more than 50 m (0.031 mi) wide. The reservoir was constructed between 1979 and 1988 near the village of Koman with a height of 115 m (377 ft).
