This is a list of notable Maldivians (people from the Maldives, or of Maldivian descent).
Maldives National Defence Force is the national military responsible for defending the security and sovereignty of the Maldives. It is primarily responsible per the constitution to defend and protect the Republic, its territorial integrity, its exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and the people. Its branches include the Maldivian Coast Guard, the MNDF Marine Corps, and MNDF Air Corps.
Ahmed Shafeeq Ibrahim Moosa, also known as Sappé, is a Maldivian editor-in-chief and politician who served as the first Envoy for Science and Technology to be appointed by the first democratically elected president of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed. He was appointed to his position on 11 March 2009 and resigned from the Maldivian government on 9 February 2012, soon after President Nasheed's government was allegedly overthrown by President Mohammed Waheed Hassan two days earlier. Moosa is amongst those who campaigned for democracy and human rights which led to the end of the 30-year rule of Gayoom in November 2008. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the news website Dhivehi Observer.

Dhadimagu is an administrative division of Fuvahmulah, Maldives. It is the largest division of the island, located in the northern part of the island. Throughout history, many scholars and famous public figures came into being from this district housing many of the historical sites and landmarks of the island. A center of learning as well as an important location for the island's economy, the number of 'Hafiz's and teachers from this district outnumber that of any other district in Fuvahmulah, and this district is considered by many to be the most educated and learning-centered district of Fuvahmulah.
The Maldives first participated at the Olympic Games in 1988. It has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since, but has not participated in the Winter Olympic Games.
Husnu Al Suood born in Meedhoo is a Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Maldives since 8 December 2019. He was the Attorney General of the Maldives from June 2009 to August 2010. He served as the Chief Judge of the Civil Court and as a member of the Judicial Service Commission of Maldives. He also served as a member of the National Human Rights Commission of the Maldives from 2003 to 2005. As a member of the Special Majlis, Suood participated in drafting the current constitution of the Republic of Maldives.

Ghaazee Bandaarain is a 1982 Maldivian historical film developed by Television Maldives in association with Tolour Productions. The film was released in three parts where the first two parts were directed by Hussain Shihab and Kashima Ahmed Shakir respectively. It stars Adam Zahir, Ibrahim Moosa, Ahmed Shakir, Abdul Rasheed Hassan, Zuhaira Umar and Chilhiya Moosa Manik in pivotal roles. The film narrates the journey of three war hero siblings, Muhammad Thakurufaanu, Ali Thakurufaanu and Hassan Thakurufaanu, whom with his companions fought an eight-year-long war to drive out the Portuguese invaders who occupied the Maldives from 1558 to 1573.

The Family of Iskander ll was a Maldivian family. It is the family of Iskander ll of the Maldives and his ancestors. The family is an origin Family of Dhiyamigili dynasty and Malé. The family was formed around 400 years ago by Muhammed Dhorhimeyna Thakurufaan, who is the Great-Great-Grandfather of Sultan Iskander ll of the Maldives. The family is also connected to Huraa dynasty, through Iskander ll's great-granddaughter Princess Aisha Rani Kilegefan, she is also known as Kakaagey Kalhu Goma.
