Sepolia (Greek: Σεπόλια pronounced[seˈpo.ʎa]) is a neighborhood in Athens, Greece. The Sepolia metro station is situated in the neighborhood. Sepolia owes to its name in the Greek phrase esopolis, which means "inside the city". Sepolia was a remote settlement until the latter part of the 19th century, a few kilometers away from Athens. The Greek Census of that period didn't include Sepolia as part of Athens. The Census of 1879, for example, refers to a population of 278 inhabitants. During the following years, Sepolia joined Athens as a result of a population explosion.
John Hammond is an American basketball executive who is the senior advisor to the president of basketball operations of the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously, Hammond had been the general manager of the Milwaukee Bucks, as well as the assistant general manager with the Detroit Pistons, where he had also worked as an assistant coach. He had also been an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska, and Houston Baptist University. He is a graduate of Greenville College. He has a daughter named Lauryn Hammond, who attended Marquette University. He is best known in NBA circles as the general manager who drafted NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Bucks.

The initiation of immigrants in the National Basketball Association (NBA) has changed throughout the league's history and there have been many conversations on the experiences of immigrants in the league. In the NBA world, players born outside the United States, including in U.S. overseas territories, are considered and called international players. The first non-American player to play in the league was in 1946, and now more than 100 have joined seven decades later. According to Forbes, the NBA in 2021 was composed of 23% international players. This is a stark contrast from the percentage in 1992, which was only 5%. The number of international players has increased steadily from 35 in the 1999–2000 season to 80 in the 2006–2007 season, accounting for 18% of the team rosters.
