Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, also known as the Akademi Puraskar, is an award given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama. It is the highest Indian recognition given to people in the field of performing arts.

The Odia (ଓଡ଼ିଆ), formerly spelled Oriya, are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group native to the Indian state of Odisha who speak the Odia language. They constitute a majority in the eastern coastal state, with significant minority populations existing in the neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Rajdhani College, is a college owned by the Government of Odisha located in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The College started in 1973 as one of 3 Government colleges in the City of Bhubaneswar in addition to the Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College and College of Basic Science and Humanities, Bhubaneswar for general science and arts studies. In 1975 the college was shifted to a temporary government building located in Unit-I and functioned there for a period of fourteen years as an independent institution. It was shifted to its new building at Baramunda in 1989. The college is affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha in +2 streams and to the Utkal University at the Degree stage. The college is very well located close to NH 5 and is accessible from various locations of Bhubaneswar due to proximity of largest bus-stand.
Ravenshaw University, formerly known as Ravenshaw College, is a co-educational state university situated in Cuttack, Odisha on the eastern coast of India. Founded as Ravenshaw College in 1868, the institution became a university in 2006. The university has nine schools, thirty three academic departments and a student enrolment of nearly 8,000. It is one of the oldest educational institutes in the country and its history is synonymous with the history of modern Odisha.
Odia literature is literature written in the Odia language, mostly from the Indian state of Odisha. The modern Odia language is mostly formed from Tadbhava words with significant Sanskrit (Tatsama) influences, along with loanwords from Desaja, English, Hindustani (Hindi/Urdu), Persian, and Arabic. Its earliest written texts date from around 1000 CE. The earliest Odia newspaper was Utkala Deepika, first published on August 4, 1866.

Bhukha is a 1989 Indian Sambalpuri-language film directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra. The movie was produced by Mohapatra under the banner of Kumar Productions and had music by Ramesh Kumar Mahananda. This movie is based on the Sambalpuri play Bhukha written by Manglu Charan Biswal. It was the first film from Odisha to get an International Jury Award at the Gijón International Film Festival.
Mohapatra Nilamani Sahoo, surname also spelt Sahu, was an Indian Odia language short story writer. He received several literary awards over his career, including the 1979 Odisha Sahitya Academy Award for Akasha Patala, and the 1983 Sarala Award and the 1984 Sahitya Akademi Award in Odia, for Abhisapta Gandharba. Sahoo died on 25 June 2016 after multiple organ failures.
Tu Mo Love Story is an Indian Odia-language drama film directed by Tapas Sargharia produced by Deepak Kumar Mishra for Tarang Cine Productions, and DK Movies. Starring Swaraj Barik and Bhoomika Dash, and with a screenplay by Tapas Sargharia, it was released on 7 April 2017.
Odisha Living Legend Award is a civilian award conferred on people of Odisha who have done outstanding and inspiring work. It was first conferred in 2011 by Odisha Diary Foundation. These awards are given in different categories like Social Service, Public Policy, Education, Youth Inspiration, Sustainable Business, Promotion of Science and Art among others.
Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar is an annual Indian award given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi to outstanding artists under 40 who have demonstrated talent in the fields of music, dance and drama. The award is intended to provide national recognition to the artists in the early years of their careers. Every year up to 33 artists are selected. Award winners receive a prize of ₹25,000 (US$310). The award has been conferred since 2006.
