Game development on the Ren'Py free software cross-platform game engine, developed by Tom "PyTom" Rothamel on Python, is supported for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and HTML5 with WebAssembly. [1] There is also an OpenBSD port of Ren'Py that allows most Ren'Py games for Linux to work on OpenBSD. [2] Because Ren'Py is specifically geared towards making visual novels, a majority of Ren'Py games are visual novels.[ clarification needed ] [3] [4] [5] [6]

It is a historical war and economy game focusing on the years between 500 BC and 1 BC, with the years between 1 AD and 500 AD planned to be developed in the future. The game is cross-platform, playable on Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD. It is composed entirely of free software and free media, using the GNU GPLv2 license for the game engine source code, and the CC BY-SA license for the game art and music.

The games were developed and published by Winter Wolves. The first game Vera Blanc: Full Moon was released on June 30, 2010 and the sequel Vera Blanc: Ghost In The Castle on September 1, 2010. There are currently no plans for another sequel of the series.
