She is best known for her roles as Abby Newman on The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, Penny Scavo on Desperate Housewives, Princess Amber on Sofia the First and Elena and the Secret of Avalor, Ikki on The Legend of Korra, and Maricela in Spirit Riding Free. In addition to contributing original music to the show, Byrnes recurs in the role of Harper Schapira, in Season 1 and Season 2, on the Disney+ series Big Shot (2021/2022). In May of 2024, Darcy Rose Byrnes began her run as Mary Lane in the 25th Anniversary production of Reefer Madness: The Musical at The Whitley on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. Chris Willman of Variety wrote "Byrnes is a real songbird, and literally wide-eyed in her innocence — part Mary Pickford, part Jeannette McDonald. " And declared "Byrnes feels born to sell the naivete and forlornness of her character’s “Lonely Pew,” with some soprano heft."

<i>Shadowmancer</i> 2002 novel by G.P. Taylor

Shadowmancer is a fantasy novel by G. P. Taylor, first published privately in 2002. It is a Christian allegory in the form of a fantasy adventure, akin to C. S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia. Taylor wrote the book to counteract what he saw as a rise in atheist propaganda in children's books such as His Dark Materials. It is the first of four books generally referred to as The Shadowmancer Quartet. The book was a number one best seller in the UK and the US.

Twitches Too is a 2007 American fantasy drama film released as a Disney Channel Original Movie. It is the sequel to the Disney Channel Original Movie Twitches, released in 2005. The film began production in late April 2007 and was released on October 12. It aired during Disney Channel's Halloween Month. The Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place, premiered following the film's premiere. The first trailer was released during the premiere of High School Musical 2. On its premiere night, the movie brought in 6.96 million viewers. For 15 years, it was the last non-musical Disney Channel Original Movie sequel to be produced until Under Wraps 2 (2022).

Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is a British preschool animated television series. The show was created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker, and produced by Astley Baker Davies and by Entertainment One. Many of the voice actors who worked on Peppa Pig have lent their voices to the show; these include John Sparkes, Sarah Ann Kennedy, David Rintoul and David Graham. The music is composed, conducted, and produced by Julian Nott, who is noted for his Wallace and Gromit, Bing and Peppa Pig scores. Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is the third show to be produced by Astley Baker Davies.

<i>Sofia the First</i> American animated television series

Sofia the First is an American animated fantasy children's television series created and developed by Craig Gerber for Disney Television Animation and Disney Junior. The series follows a young peasant girl named Sofia, voiced by Ariel Winter, who becomes a princess after her mother marries the King of Enchancia. Episodes focus on her adventures and bonds with others, including her animal friends, with whom she communicates through an amulet that blesses and curses her based upon the goodness of her actions. When creating the series, Gerber aimed to employ relatable situations in a fantasy world; he stated Sofia's position as a child of a single mother allowed the team to explore themes of adaptation and connect to modern children. The series pilot premiered on November 18, 2012, on Disney Channel. The series itself ran from January 11, 2013, to September 8, 2018, on Disney Junior.

The series features Aimee Carrero as the voice of Elena, Disney's first Latina princess. 77 episodes were produced.

Elena and the Secret of Avalor is an American animated musical children's fantasy television movie crossover between Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor and the backdoor pilot of the latter series, while the events of the film take place during the third season of Sofia the First. Jamie Mitchell served as director, Craig Gerber served as screenplay writer, and both served as executive producers.

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding is a 2018 American Christmas romantic comedy film directed by John Schultz from a screenplay by Robin Bernheim and Nathan Atkins, based on characters created by Karen Schaler. The film stars Rose McIver, Ben Lamb, Sarah Douglas, Alice Krige and Tahirah Sharif. It is a sequel to the 2017 film A Christmas Prince. It was followed in 2019 by A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.
