Sahan Hewa Thilina Kandambi is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and a former T20 international captain for Sri Lanka. A specialist middle-order batsman, Kandambi was marked out as a talent early, playing for the Sri Lanka Under 19s from 1998 to 2001. He also played ten first class games for the Sri Lanka A cricket team. In January 2021 he was appointed as the head coach of T10 team Bangla Tigers.
Dihan Avishka Gunawardene, is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, who played Tests and ODne Day Internationals. He served as the Sri Lanka A team coach for many years, and was later appointed batting coach of the national team in 2017. At present, he is the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team.
The R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium(RPS) is a cricket stadium on Khettarama Road, Maligawatta, Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is the largest stadium in Sri Lanka with a capacity of 40000 spectators. It has hosted the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 finals between Sri Lanka and West Indies, 2002 ICC Champions Trophy finals between Sri Lanka and India and first semi final of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. This was where the highest Test score in the history was recorded; 952 by Sri Lanka against India. With capacity exceeding The Lord's stadium in England, the stadium is known as the "home of Sri Lankan cricket".

The 2011 Sri Lanka Premier League was a postponed Twenty20 cricket league. Ranaweera Mudiyanselage Shaminda Eranga, or Shaminda Eranga, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer. He is the only bowler in history to have taken a wicket in his first over in all formats of the game. He studied at St. Mary's College in Chilaw.
