Arslan is a Turkic masculine given name and surname, used mainly in the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, and Western China. It is translated as "fearless", "warrior", "brave", or "lion". Arıslan and Aslan/Arsalan are variants of the name. A striking name of Turkish origin, Arslan is a boy’s name that means “lion.” This powerful title is derived from Old Turkic and was used as an epithet for Turkish emperors in the Middle Ages.

Can Bartu was a Turkish basketball and football player of Circassian origin. He was the first Turkish footballer to play a final in Europe. His statue was erected in Istanbul. After retirement, he also worked as a pundit and sports journalist.

St. George's Austrian High School is a private Austrian-Turkish high school located in Karaköy, Beyoğlu, Istanbul, Turkey. It is one of several secondary schools that were founded by European or American missions in Turkey during the 19th century, but were then secularized after the founding of the modern Turkish Republic in 1923.

Arabs in Turkey refers to the 1.5-2 million citizens and residents of Turkey who are ethnically of Arab descent. They are the third-largest minority in the country after the Kurds and the Circassians and are concentrated in a few provinces in Southeastern Anatolia. In addition to this native group, millions of Arab Syrian refugees have sought refuge in Turkey since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011.

The majority of Austrian Turks descend from the Republic of Turkey; however, there has also been significant Turkish migration from other post-Ottoman countries including ethnic Turkish communities which have come to Austria from the Balkans, the island of Cyprus, and more recently Iraq and Syria.

The majority of Swiss Turks descend from the Republic of Turkey; however there has also been Turkish migration waves from other post-Ottoman countries including ethnic Turkish communities which have come to Switzerland from the Balkans, the island of Cyprus, and more recently Iraq and Syria.

Mersin İdmanyurdu Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1982–83. The 1982–83 season was the 11th season of Mersin İdmanyurdu football team in First League, the first level division in Turkey. The team was promoted to first division last season for the fourth time.

The 1980–81 season was the 10th season of Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team in First League, the first level division in Turkey. They have relegated to second division at the end of the season. It was third time the team relegated. The club signed with coach İsmet Arıkan. Arıkan's assistant was conditioner Seyfi Alanya.

Mersin İdmanyurdu Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1972–73. The 1972–73 season was the sixth season of Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team in Turkish First Football League, the first level division in Turkey. They finished 11th in the league.
