The Second of two cinematic parts, The Conclusion opened worldwide on 28 April 2017 to critical acclaim and record-breaking box-office success, becoming the highest-grossing film in India and the second-highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, and the highest-grossing South Indian film.

At the 65th National Film Awards, The Conclusion won the awards for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Stunt Choreographer and Best Special Effects.

The Conclusion released to positive reviews from critics. It was also praised by the actors of the film industry alike. The film has garnered the Telstra People's Choice Award at the 2017 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. It won three National Film Awards: Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Special Effects and Best Stunt Choreographer. The Conclusion was premiered at the British Film Institute, and was the inaugural feature film at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival. It is showcased in the "Indian Panorama" section of the 48th International Film Festival of India.

Rajamouli, and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. The film was produced in Tollywood and was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. It features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. The first of Duology, the film follows Sivudu, an adventurous young man who helps his love Avantika rescue Devasena, the former queen of Mahishmati who is now a prisoner under the tyrannical rule of king Bhallaladeva. The story concludes in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are an Indian film producer duo. They founded Arka Media Works, a film production company known for its works in Telugu cinema and Telugu Television Programs and Shows. Their notable productions include Vedam (2010), Maryada Ramanna (2010), the Baahubali film series (2015–2017) and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya (2020). The 65th Filmfare Awards South ceremony honoring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in 2017 was an event that was held on 16 June 2018 at Novotel and HICC Complex in Hyderabad. The nominations for all the main awards were announced on 4 June 2018.
