The Ghost Writer (released as The Ghost in the United Kingdom and Ireland) is a 2010 French-German-British political thriller film directed by Roman Polanski. It is based on the novel The Ghost written by Robert Harris, who co-wrote the screenplay with Polanski.

There were no official nominees until 2001, currently six nominees are usually presented.

The 16th Critics' Choice Awards were presented on January 14, 2011 at the Hollywood Palladium, honoring the finest achievements of 2010 filmmaking. The ceremony was broadcast on VH1. The nominees were announced on December 13, 2010.

The Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Makeup is one of the awards given to people working in the motion picture industry by the Broadcast Film Critics Association. It was first given out in 2009.

The Lobster is a 2015 absurdist black comedy drama film directed and co-produced by Yorgos Lanthimos, from a screenplay by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou. It stars Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Barden, Olivia Colman, Ashley Jensen, Ariane Labed, Angeliki Papoulia, John C. Reilly, Léa Seydoux, Michael Smiley, and Ben Whishaw. The film follows a newly single bachelor who moves into a hotel with other singletons, who are all obliged to find a romantic partner in 45 days, or else be transformed into animals.
