The 119th United States Congress, which began on January 3, 2025, and will end on January 3, 2027, has enacted 46 public laws and zero private laws. [1] [2] Joe Biden, who was the incumbent president for the Congress's first 17 days, did not enact any laws before his presidential term expired. Many of the public laws at the start of the first session are public laws related to congressional disapproval of federal regulations passed under the Congressional Review Act.
