The Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, also known by its Chinese abbreviation Taimeng, is one of the eight legally recognised minor political parties in the People's Republic of China that are members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference under the Chinese Communist Party's United Front. Qin Gang Chinese diplomat

Qin Gang is a Chinese diplomat currently serving as the Chinese Ambassador to the United States. Previously he served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is also the twenty-second spokesperson since the spokesperson system was established in the ministry back in 1983.

Miao Ruilin is a former Chinese politician, best known for his term as Mayor of Nanjing. In November 2018 he was placed under investigation by the Communist Party of China's anti-corruption agency. At the time he was serving as vice governor of Jiangsu.

Boten–Vientiane railway

The Boten–Vientiane railway is an 414 kilometres (257 mi) 1,435 mmstandard gauge electrified railway in Laos, running between the capital Vientiane and the town of Boten on the border with China. The line was officially opened on 3 December 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Laos is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. On 24 March 2020, Laos became the last country in Southeast Asia to report its confirmed case of the virus. As of 21 August, 2021, there were a total of 11,753 cases and 11 deaths. On 4 May, Laos exceeded 1,000 cases of COVID-19. Five days later, the country recorded the first death.

Jilin-1 is China's first self-developed commercial remote sensing satellite system. It is operated by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Corporation. The first set of satellites were launched by Long March 2D in Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on 7 October 2015, at 04:13 UTC.
