Ileana D'Cruz (born 1 November 1986) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi and Telugu language films, as well some Tamil films. She is recipient of several accolades, including a Filmfare Award, Filmfare Award South, Zee Cine Award, Screen Award, and Stardust Award each.

D’Cruz made her screen debut in 2006 with the Telugu-language film Devadasu , which was commercially successful where she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - South. Ileana received her breakthrough with the 2006 Telugu-language action thriller film Pokiri , in which she had her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu nomination. She continued being nominated for Jalsa (2008) and Kick (2009). D'Cruz went and expanded to Hindi Cinema after she made her Hindi debut with Barfi! (2012), where she won several accolades including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Barfi! is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language period romantic comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, edited by Akiv Ali and backed by UTV Motion Pictures. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz while featuring Saurabh Shukla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jisshu Sengupta, Roopa Ganguly and Haradhan Bandopadhyay in pivotal roles. Set in Darjeeling and Kolkata of the 1970s, the film focuses on Barfi (Kapoor), a deaf-mute young man based in Darjeeling, and his relationships with two girls, the beautiful Shruti (D'Cruz) and the autistic Jhilmil (Chopra).

The 58th Filmfare Awards were held honoring the best films of 2012 from the Hindi-language film industry. The nominations were announced on 13 January 2013. The ceremony was held on 20 January 2013 at Yash Raj Studio, Mumbai. The event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan for the sixth time. All the Filmfare Black Lady statuettes had gold-plated bottoms to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema. The Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded posthumously to Yash Chopra by Karan Johar.

<i>Barfi!</i> (soundtrack) 2012 soundtrack album by Pritam

Barfi! is the soundtrack album for the 2012 Hindi film of the same name. The music and original score is composed by Pritam and featured lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire, Ashish Pandit, Neelesh Misra and Sayeed Quadri. The film is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. The film marks Pritam's third collaboration with Basu after Gangster (2006) and Life in a... Metro (2007). The album was under-development, when the film was in post-production stage and was completed only by early-August 2012. All the tracks in the film expresses the feelings of Kapoor's character.
